feel like its time to retire the term "vibe coding". word is doing way to much work.
it covers everything from my guy who shipped an app better than any 500k-a-year SWE could dream of, to some dude who generated a slop CRUD app that accidentally sends every customers data to every cust and slapped a domain on it. Been seeing it undersell serious prod quality work made with AI and oversell careless flaming balls of slop.
Seems super negative EV all ard. It gives the first dude a credibility haircut + gives the second LARPer an excuse to rug before anyone notices the backend is held together by vibes and cope.
Should just stick to existing words like drafted, prototyped, built, shipped etc etc. That tells me what you actually did and how far you took it. who cares how it was made 🤷
FINALLY. can't believe its taken this long. couldn't think of a country where its easier for these self driving vehicles. maintained + clean roads, clear road markings, drivers who (mostly) follow the rules, aggressive vandalism penalties.
this was the probably thing I missed the most from spending a month plus in sf. genuinely experience all ard.
Singapore, we’re on our way 🇸🇬 Our vehicles will arrive later this year, and will begin mapping and learning Singapore’s roads in early 2027 before fully autonomous ride-hailing arrives in 2028.

guess this is my version of peak performance.
spendin my weekend aftnn playing w RL experiments at the kopitiam, breathin in the haze, listening to the uncles whine abt the gov as my lofi playlist 🤷🏼♂️
whole monday spent grinding on this. probably need another 24hrs to get this bad boi at least leg swinging, semi- walking
wait they’re DECREASING our weekly limits in this market!? I’m alr burning through my weekly limits in 36-48hrs fam.
thought yall were planning to increase not decrease limits 🤷🏼
Starting September 14, we're permanently raising standard weekly limits in Claude Code by 25% for Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise plans. Until then, the current 50% increase will be in place.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
While standard base limits are increasing by 25%, this change represents a net 17% reduction in weekly limits compared to the active 50% promotional limits users currently experience, as confirmed by the official Claude account: x.com/claudedevs/sta…
might have spent a lil too long workin on this search/command bar for andcut.video . still brings me joy though every time I come back to work on it
CAD but for 2D?! consider me sold.
as someone who used to live in solidwks, f360, it always killed me whenever i needed to use illustrator or any vector tool for graphics.
how is it 1 click to get a tangent or symmetry in sw but i need a plugin or tear my brains out to do it in illustrator
this is *chefs kiss*
this is unhinged in all the most interesting ways
what's the word, berd.xyz
still find it interesting that post cursor acq, they chose to lead with the 'grok' brand instead of cursor / composer.
and this isn't a performance take. the product could be great. I love me my grok-composer-4.5 what a beast. it's purely about the brand.
to me, "cursor" is one of the cleanest brands in dev / ai. loved by devs, no big associated political leanings, no baggage. you just use it.
that kind of neutral trust seems incredibly hard to get. "grok", carries the association whether you like it or not. and even as someone who's not a musk hater, it still makes me hesitate. and that hesitation has zero to do with how good the tool is.
feels like trading away brand equity for reach they'd probably get anyway since they also own X. but what do I know haha
if you’re singaporean or live in sg, im sure you’ve seen this at your activeSG gyms, different gov digital platforms/ websites, bus stops etc
this the most talented illustrator aka my partner in life, who led and hand-illustrated a lot of this along with her team 🥹
it’s Singapore’s national day, so here’s throwback to my fav project: an illustration system of Singaporeans.
working in gov, off the shelf illustrations never properly represented us. not the diversity, not the lil quirks that make us us.
So we built Build Your Own Singaporean (BYOS), a modular system anyone can use to make visuals that actually look local.
didn’t expect this to hit this hard. can go say hi to her at rachelatwork.com
bruh the app looks so bad. clearly one-shot slop. i don't get why someone at his level wouldn't just get a pro (who's also using AI) to ship something actually sick.
sure, the reach means millions of downloads regardless. but AT WHAT COST to the brand? 🤷🏼♂️
