Palestinians, and oppressed people in general, have every right to be irritated that it takes stories told BY THE OPPRESSORS in order for some people to believe it.
However, I just want to say that this is just the truth.
It's not OK, but people who are not oppressed often have to have what me and @LeeMerrittesq coined as "white male validators."
In all of our years fight police brutality, we KNEW a case would be TOTALLY DIFFERENT when well-respected white men, white businessmen, white coaches, etc. would come out in support of the African American victims we were fighting for.
In some cases we won, the ONLY DIFFERENCE was a "white male validator."
