History has a cruel way of teaching the same lesson:

The clock starts the second the head delivers. The first moves are position and pressure, not a hard pull on the baby’s head. Hard traction is what raises the risk of a nerve injury.
Most babies do well when the team has rehearsed it. Permanent injury is the minority, not the rule.
