Ever since Kin knew Ashira was an angel, He always got questions for him and Ashira found it adorable. Kin was always full of life, full of curiousity. “I was here before the world existed. I’ve been here since the beginning of time.” “That’s awfully long.” Kin smiled, His doe eyes blinked cutely. “So you’ll be here until the end of time, then?” he asked. “Maybe. I don’t know,” Ashira answered honestly. He never really thought about that. “So a human lifetime must feel like the blink of an eye to you.” Kin’s voice softened as his gaze fell. “And time we spend together might only feel like a second to you.” “Oh, little one…” Ashira reached out, gently cupping Kin’s face in his hands, his thumb brushing against the younger man’s cheek. “I’ve been alive for hundreds of years, and never once have I cared about time. I’ve watched centuries pass without a second thought. But being with you is the first time I’ve ever wished I could slow it down.” He paused, looking into Kin’s eyes. He was being honest. All these times He never spare a thought about time or what was happening around him. Until He met Kin. His beautiful Kin, His beloved little one. His human and mortal Kin. “Would you still remember me after I’m gone?” Kin’s voice was barely above a whisper. “Sweetheart.” Ashira scooted closer and kissed Kin’s temple. “I’ll remember you in every lifetime, how your hair turns golden under the sunset, those pretty moles on your face, your eyes and the softness of your lips.” Ashira caress Kin’s lips softly with his thumb. “Even after the sun burns out and the universe cease into existence, I will never forget you.” He would. Ashira would do everything in his power to remember every details of Kin. He would not let Kin became a distant memory, another fragment of the past. He would not let time take pieces of his beloved Kin from him. He was already afraid of it. That someday he might no longer remember the exact shade of Kin’s eyes, how Kin’s hand fit perfectly in his, the thought that someday when he close his eyes he would not be able to recall Kin’s voice. Losing Kin is inevitable but forgetting him terrifies Ashira. Kin smiled. He embraced Ashira tight and for a moment the world and his fears faded away. The latter one close his eyes and breathe in Kin’s familiar scent deeply, feeling his warmth and how their body fit like puzzle. Oh he knew it would hurt him when the time came for him to lose this boy. Ashira knows exactly how this ends, someday He would lose Kin and not even forever would be enough to heal his shattered heart. Part of him knew he could walk away, sparing himself the pain yet he chose to stay.
