I think not much is said about how much sex workers and adult content stars are influencing young women. We talk about the manosphere’s influence on young men, and leave this out.

Calling @MKBHD’s video “hate” is misguided and highlights the nearly insurmountable issue the Tesla community has with criticism.
There was plenty to criticize about that unveiling and I thought Marques did an incredible job.
He is becoming a great force pushing against the growing movement in tech and now automotive of over promising and under delivering.

News: The French are rioting over high cost of living and under-resourced high schools.
The rioters: Yes, that's what we are rioting over.
The French government: Yupp, they're rioting over that.
Everyone: Yepp, that's whats happening.
The far right: Da Blacks! Da Muzlims!

No Nigerian federal institution is working effectively as they should.
But Nigerians expect INEC to magically work excellently in 2027 for a once in a 4 years JD
Especially when the immediate past chairman is now an ambassador in Qatar
All the best to all of us 🧡

Mustafa Chike-Obi: Large foreign reserves don’t mean Nigeria is better off
Mustafa Chike-Obi, former chairman of Fidelity Bank, says maintaining Nigeria’s $52 billion to $53 billion foreign reserves costs the country more than $10 billion annually.
Chike-Obi spoke on Thursday during an episode of Policy Without Politics, a podcast he host with Ken Ikpe.

This is the reason Dr Bosun Tijani blocked me.
I quoted his NUCAP post with my experience as a project coordinator on similar MTN/Huawei rural sites in the past, and asked what would be different this time. He blocked me instead of replying.
If a sitting minister under President Tinubu can’t take constructive criticism from a young Nigerian, tell me if this country is getting better anytime soon.
This is not a new project. As far back as 2015, MTN and Huawei already had something similar called MTN Rural Telephony, and that was before bandits became this widespread.
I was a project coordinator on some of those sites. The biggest setback was always security in these remote areas. Almost all the backup batteries were stolen. Technicians were often 12–24 hours away, and many sites weren’t accessible by road.
Some towers stayed down for days or even months because of community issues. There were cases where security guards were killed when robbers came for the equipment.
These projects are extremely expensive to maintain. That’s why I’m not sure why the government is taking on the role of running them directly. Private operators already struggled with exactly these problems.
What will be different this time?

No matter how many times you correct the general public they’ll still come and say silly stuff like this
They want a patient with haemorrhagic stroke to be “stabilised” in a facility without airway support and one NYSC medical officer who is always on call
