Martinez was not in the pre season one despite being consistently brilliant for Villa for years but after 4 games in which he has conceded 12 for Chelsea he’s a new entry in the list 🤣🤷‍♂️

RFK Jr: "We are also looking at chemtrails"
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
RFK Jr. referred to "chemtrails," a conspiracy theory alleging secret chemical spraying by aircraft. No evidence supports this; trails are condensation (contrails) and a 2016 peer-reviewed survey of 77 atmospheric experts found 76 had seen none for such programs. epa.gov/regulations-em… iopscience.iop.org/article/10.108… statnews.com/2026/09/17/rfk…

Incredible. We always said the minute we could get floodlights at the ground the club could go places, but FA cup games live on BBC within the year was beyond our imagination. Phenomenal from the club going toe-to-toe with a side like Worcester City but only the start @Knowle_FC
A late leveller 🤩 Tom Kinsey forces it in for @Knowle_FC with minutes to go! 📺 @BBCMOTD

Jay Z coming to Tottenham Hotspur stadium in September. I’ve not checked when he’s at St James’ Park but will report back.

Literally sold 60% of our starting team for over £300m 🤷‍♂️🤣
How much of a spend are Villa on now then? When does it become unfair @ga11agbon? Assume you're thinking about Newcastle, Everton and the rest of the chasing pack of clubs with proud histories etc as you outspend them? It's all about fairness, right?

As @Knowle_FC Manager when we won the Midland Combination Division 1 in 2006 and 2008 but had no floodlights to permit promotion, we could not have dreamt of this . Fantastic effort at every level in the club . @Seeley789 @CSeeley61 - Clive have sent you a DM.

My considered opinion (as of today) is that your pot 3 draw dictates if you have a hard draw. Arsenal - Lille and Napoli is a pretty tough pot 3 draw, Villa 2x Turkish giants also tough, City - Napoli and Leipzig too
Who has the toughest league phase out of the five Premier League teams? 🤔 #UCLdraw

Better to finish 9th and comfortably within SCR and get a nice little pat on the head from the sky 6 pundits for being such a well run club than try to actually win games and trophies 🤣
I’m really not sure the Villa “project” is one of the more exciting ones in the PL and I’m also fairly positive it’s not FFP/PSR that has killed it

Yes and no. Spurs also completely failed to invest aggressively when they had a succession of world class players. Letting Bale, Modric and Kane have 1 EFL between them is just as egregious mismanagement regardless of their now healthy finances. Opportunities have to be seized.
Criticism of Spurs from Villa fans is baffling. They literally sold their best players for years, built infrastructure and are now reaping the rewards. If you want to be angry, aim it at corrupt City and a rule breaking Chelsea- not the team we effectively have to emulate. #avfc #thfc

It’s annoying that Spurs have actually addressed their CM well otherwise I’d be fully confident that this would be a terrible waste of money and doomed to fail. As it is, I fear Spurs might actually be pretty good.

Personal view: this season could be quite rocky but in 2-3 years the decision to get £80-90m for Tielemans and Konsa (much as I love them both) will look like savvy business. Also Rogers would have to be truly incredible for us to be on the wrong side of a £117m deal too.
