Mark Knopfler, David Knopfler, John Illsley & Pick Withers …Under the name Café Racers, they performed outdoors, with electricity coming from their own apartment.
A year later, the world would know them & their music as .. Dire Straits 🎸

You know with yesterday making a year that #acefrehley has been gone. I wanted to have a little fun and play over one of my favorite guitar solos of his from a song that he did with KISS called "She". But I’m playing over the version that Ace did on his Origins Vol. 2.

One year ago we lost Ace Frehley, and he's still deeply missed by his fans and by me. Ace and I always shared a special mutual respect. There was never any competition between us, just an appreciation for each other's talents. I always admired his unique style and his legacy as KISS's original guitarist. Knowing that Ace respected my playing, and wasn't shy about saying so, was one of the greatest compliments I could ever receive. I'll always cherish that. Miss you, Ace. RIP
