GOOD DAY, MR PRESIDENT: NIGERIANS DESERVE ACCOUNTABILITY
Good day, Mr President.
I congratulate you on spending a night in one of Nigeria’s states outside Lagos and Abuja. I hope you enjoyed the warmth, hospitality, and delicious cuisine of Akwa Ibom, which I am sure is even better than those of the destinations where you have spent over 260 days outside Nigeria since coming into office.
I sincerely hope this visit will inspire you to travel to the remaining 33 states of the federation, spend time with the people and, more importantly, explain what your administration has done with the ₦15.8 trillion saved from the removal of fuel subsidy, the over $100 billion you have borrowed, the increased revenues accruing to the government from taxing Nigerians, and the additional government revenues which your administration celebrated last year as having surpassed its target.
Nigerians deserve to know how many that were pulled out of poverty within this period, how many out-of-school children were returned to school, and how many functional primary healthcare centres you have built. They also deserve to know how much electricity supply has improved, especially given your promise that if you do not fix power, Nigerians should not vote for you. They deserve an explanation of how you have secured the country, which still ranks among the most terrorised countries in the world.
Mr President, Nigerians deserve answers. They deserve to know what has been done with the resources entrusted to your government.
The New Nigeria we want to build will be based on accountability, transparency, and the physical, measurable impact of our public resources on the lives of citizens.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

So my husband always smells amazing and lately I realized the scent has become very unique. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. It was sweet and familiar with an alluring and manly twist. Only one day to catch him blending my products with his.

I had to read this like five times to get that you meant she bothered you so much, that she won’t have any time to be on her phone during the day because you’re going to make her that busy

Okay. Finally done with this movie and first of all, I commend Omoni Oboli and her team for their efforts on this movie. This is a proper 10/10 minus nothing movie. I enjoyed everything from the first scene to the last. Also,I loved that they used veteran Yoruba actors to bring the traditional chieftaincy theme to life. Most importantly,I loved the romance between Taye and Teni. This is really different from the regular Omoni Oboli story 👏👏👏

This Kdrama versus Cdrama debate is always funny to me because, as someone who watches and enjoys both, I don’t understand why you people feel the need to make it a competition. I think they both have their strengths, their weaknesses and their unique appeal, and a lot of it comes down to what you’re in the mood for and the kind of story you want to experience.
Kdramas are particularly good at giving you tightly structured stories, strong character development, emotional depth and genre blending. You can get a gripping thriller, a psychological drama, a romance, a family story or social commentary, sometimes all woven into one series. I also like that most Kdramas have shorter episode counts, so when the writing is good, you get a relatively complete story without having to commit to 40 or 50 episodes. Of course, that doesn’t mean Kdramas don’t have pacing problems or unnecessary plotlines.
Cdramas have their own strengths too. Their historical productions, wuxia, xianxia, fantasy, elaborate world building, costumes, mythology and political intrigue are a huge part of their appeal. They can take their time developing characters, relationships and entire fictional worlds in ways that are enjoyable when you’re in the mood for that kind of storytelling. And it’s not just historical dramas. There are brilliant modern romances, thrillers, crime dramas and contemporary stories too but I prefer their historical dramas they put women at the centre of the story. The female leads are not just there to be someone’s love interest or exist around a male character’s journey. They get to be the driving force of the story, with their own ambitions, intelligence, struggles, power, decisions and character development. They get to be the ones whose stories we follow, whose choices shape the narrative and whose journeys carry the entire drama. I absolutely love that.
I also think we need to acknowledge that both industries have their shortcomings. Kdramas can have predictable plots, unnecessary love triangles, rushed endings and stories that start off brilliantly but lose direction. Cdramas can have excessive episodes, dragged out misunderstandings, repetitive tropes and pacing issues. Neither industry is perfect, and neither has a monopoly on good storytelling.
I think you people should stop approaching it as though enjoying one means you have to diminish the other. They have different storytelling traditions, production styles and strengths. There are things K dramas do particularly well, and there are things C dramas do particularly well. There are also plenty of examples that challenge whatever generalisation you people want to make about either industry.
If I want a tightly written thriller that gets straight to the point I know where to go.If I want an elaborate historical drama with political scheming, complicated family relationships and 40 episodes of people making questionable decisions I know where to go.
I watch Kdramas, I watch Cdramas, and I’ll watch dramas from any country as long as the storyline is good. Language has never been a barrier for me as long as there’s a proper subtitle. My chat might be Kdramas, but my watchlist has no borders. 😭
might be an unpopular opinion.. but, there’s nothing anyone can tell me.. i want to believe the lack of stable electricity in Nigeria is 100% intentional …

APC is literally begging to not be voted back in. They’ve not given you light in days, the roads are getting worse, waste management hasn’t been resolved, street lights are off so we have to ply roads in the dark.
Why exactly are you still in bed with them?
