#25YearsOfRHTDM It was exactly 25 years back when I bought the double cassette pack of Madhavan and Dia Mirza starrer REHNA HAI TERRE DIL MEIN music album. It was in Majestic market, Bangalore, and I remember picking up the cassette from a corner shop in a market complex, which has now been replaced by a shopping center. Incidentally, I was in Bangalore just a few weeks back and my memory was rekindled as I went through these lanes again, and shot this short video. It’s quite poetic that I get to post this here, as the cult classic romantic drama backed by Vashu Bhagnani completes 25 years. Lots of memories attached with this beautiful film and I am so glad that while the soundtrack has lived on and survived the test of times, my friend @ActorMadhavan has been enjoying the peak of his career with roles of substance and ever-so-gorgeous @deespeak is picking those roles which truly excite her. Also, @jackkybhagnani, it’s time to bring back the golden era of music back in mainstream #Bollywood. Time for RHTDM redux?

@ActorMadhavan

Just how good were the Indian men's golfers? Just one country on the individual leaderboard represented twice - India! They were denied a team medal by individual brilliance, but great effort boys.

Watched the movie on the remarkable G.D. Naidu - the original “Edison of India.” A visionary inventor and entrepreneur who was decades ahead of his time. Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu share deep historical, cultural and economic bonds, and stories like his are part of the larger legacy of enterprise and innovation that has shaped South India. I’m delighted to see our cinema bringing such extraordinary lives to the screen, especially for a younger generation that deserves to know the pioneers who built, invented and dreamed before us. @ActorMadhavan

#GDNaidu #GDN

Dear @ActorMadhavan, You are the king of biopics. Whenever you do any biopic it automatically stands out. Be it The Nambi Effect or GDN. Thank you so much for telling the story of G.D. Naidu. Cause the way you portrayed it made me believe that you are G.D.Naidu. From Kolkata.

How many of you know about GD Naidu - known as Edison of India? Its a shame that we Indians have to find such gems from movies and not celebrate them in our history books. Kudos to @ActorMadhavan for bringing these stories to life. ndtv.com/entertainment/who-w…

Thank you so very much sir…very touched and moved . All God‘s grace. Thank you once again.🙏🙏🙏🙏
Truly delighted and deeply moved watching GDN. @ActorMadhavan, your greatest strength is not merely your brilliance as an actor-it is your consciousness to recognise, reveal and resurrect genius. Through Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, you brought back the extraordinary life and struggle of Dr. Nambi Narayanan. @NambiNOfficial With GDN, you have once again discovered a genius whose immense knowledge, perseverance and contribution were not given the recognition they deserved during his lifetime. Many great minds suffered because of jealousy, unfair competition, circumstances and the inability of society to recognise genius in its time. What you are doing is much more than filmmaking. You are giving their lives a reincarnation through cinema. You are bringing their lost glory back to life and enabling a new generation to discover, appreciate and believe in the greatness of their work. Perhaps the recognition denied to them during their lifetime is finding its way back to them through your films. Rocketry and GDN are not just movies-they are cinematic reincarnations of extraordinary lives, restoring the honour, dignity and legacy that history once overlooked. My heartfelt gratitude and admiration to you, Madhavan, for choosing intellect, perseverance and forgotten genius as subjects worthy of the world’s attention. May you continue to give many more extraordinary lives their second birth on the screen. 🙏 - Ra. Arjunamurthy
