Why is no one talking about this? This is why I don't use an AI browser You can literally get prompt injected and your bank account drained by doomscrolling on reddit:

AI agents that can browse the Web and perform tasks on your behalf have incredible potential but also introduce new security risks. We recently found, and disclosed, a concerning flaw in Perplexity's Comet browser that put users' accounts and other sensitive info in danger.

Don't follow this Vercel "Best practice" ⚠️👇 - it can fuck up your database connections. In several tests with k6, I found it being an actual bad practice to exhaust and block your database connections at burst. If ever you use this, at least call `client.release(true)`

Exponential backoff just landed in @𝗽𝗴𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄/𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝘃𝟬.𝟱.𝟬! 🚀 (For queue-only workers - flow-based already had it.) ⚠️ BREAKING: retries now default to 5s → 10s → 20s → ... instead of fixed delay. See reply for details 👇 #pgflow #postgresql #supabase

🧵I ran a test to find out how Vercel Fluid compute behaves and here's what you must know: 1/5 When using Fluid Compute (I think enabled by default now), it seems like one could reuse a Singleton, like e.g. a db connection with postgres. This is true AND false. 👇

🚨 Big news! We’ve been collaborating with the legendary @tannerlinsley and the TanStack team to build something new: TanStack DB — a reactive, normalized, transactional state engine that extends TanStack Query.

3️⃣ Which subdomains to use? We followed a best practice we always recommend: separating transactional, marketing, and product-generated emails onto different domains so reputation issues with one email type don't impact the others.

UI: Mantine UI. I know you guys are in crazy love with shadcn/ui. But let me speak from the perspective of a guy who made a real medium-sized SaaS in the past: you need more than that 👨‍🏫 Compare these 2: ui.shadcn.com/docs/component… mantine.dev/core/button/ Mantine offers way more configs for a simple button. And it is just a button. It gives more power to other components (check out also "notifications" which are called toasts in shadcnui). Mantine gives more hooks, more components, more customization, more wholeness. Mantine is made to be used in production, not in side projects. One day you will need to add an extra icon to your shadcn/ui button and you will have little sleep that night and you will spend half of a whole fkng day adding that icon and you will remember this post and think "oh sht that guy on twitter was right about UI libraries 😮‍💨". Why not MUI? It looks old. Why not Ant design? Not enough customization. Too heavy. Some specs are in Chinese language.
