The cool part of this aerospace shop: the customers provide the raw materials. No exposure to commodity prices. 60% margins. Defense contracts. Machines maxed out. Which leaves the big question... why are they selling? @BillDA, @thegeneralmills, @endresenheather, and @jordanfliegel dig in.

JOB ALERT: I'm hiring a new Chief of Staff. Can you help me spread the word? If you know anyone smart and capable who’s looking, send them my way! (I'd also love any help amplifying this, like liking/replying/etc. to this post!)

You could buy this roofing business... but you're buying yourself a partner. Is buying 51% of a business worth the headache? If things went bad, you can MAYBE take away his job. But he's collecting his $0.49 regardless. Is this a recipe for disaster?

Pressure's on for this episode: the broker is on the call! This RV content site has been sitting unsold since November. $271K ask. 95% net margin. Under 2X multiple. No face dependency. So why can't Brad move it? @thegeneralmills, @girdley, and @jordanfliegel dig in. Listen now ⬇️

SC (and Southeast) friends, would love to have you come join us. Really excited about this meet up and hosting with Brandon Mendez. We did one a couple years ago and had a great turnout. I know there were several folks who were actively looking for businesses to buy then, who have completed acquisitions since. @acquanon , presented by @Acquisition_Lab , has allowed me to continue to connect with so many interesting people in the M&A and ETA space and it's so much fun to get more of these folks in the same room. RSVP link in comments.

This 80-year-old Massachusetts gear shop is asking $1.25M with $275K SDE. But take out a salary, rent, and maintenance capex and you're close to zero. @girdley, @BillDA, @endresenheather, and @jordanfliegel debate who actually buys this - and how. Listen now ⬇️

If you’re considering buying or selling a business, you probably know the SBA changed a bunch of the loan rules. So this Thursday, bring your hardest questions. Whoever can stump @EndresenHeather and @bedrockqoewill wins a car.* (*This is not true.) luma.com/s081j9al

We looked at a traffic safety systems manufacturer for sale . Some interesting wrinkles. The deal basically requires: 1) a female buyer, and 2) a stock purchase @BillDA, @thegeneralmills, @endresenheather, and guest Nick Akers dig into the fine print. Listen now ⬇️

Most buyers never hear a deal talked through until it's their own. @acquanon lets you listen in first. Every episode, the hosts take a business that just hit the market and work through it like a buyer would. Acquisition Lab is now the show's presenting sponsor.

Today's deal: a 50-year-old truck upfitter that we all actually liked the look of (longtime listeners will know that's rare). But inventory and working capital are the real make or break here. @girdley, @thegeneralmills, @endresenheather, and @bedrockqoewill dig in. Listen now ⬇️

Sometimes you see a number that's hard to process... Acquisitions Anonymous was a fun lockdown hobby for Michael, Mills, and I because we were all deeply nerd-level interested in buying businesses, and we thought there might be some other people who were too. Five years and 500+ episodes later, we just crossed 2.5 MILLION downloads 🤯 About halfway through we were joined by the incredible @EndresenHeather as co-host, who started her business Viso Capital to help buyers get the best deal on SBA loans. The four of us have done hundreds of episodes together and our guiding principle has always been that we have to be having fun. We get together twice a week and laugh, joke, tell stories, and review a business that's for sale. That format has carried us through over 500 episodes, when under 1% of podcasts even reach 100. We have been a top 20 podcast in the entrepreneurship category, signed big name sponsors (more to come here), spoken at and beocme part of the curriculum at several universities, and met hundreds of awesome searchers and entrepreneurs. I still get a kick out of knowing how many friends and strangers listen to our episodes, and we don't take any of it for granted. Here's to the next 2.5M!

You may not know this. @acquanon all started with a tweet. @thegeneralmills replied. @BillDA and @EndresenHeather joined us. Now here we are.
