Kate described as human, attractive, lovely; #Meghan reduced to “the other thing.” And the “shhhhhh!” shows it was a deliberate statement. Because your article suggests, “the other thing” is Meghan, maybe you should stop pretending that your dehumanizing language is #cheeky simply because it was delivered by this ignorant pensioner. NOBODY has to like #Meghan. Nobody has to admire her. But calling a person “the other thing” is not criticism of anything she has said or done. Your contempt dressed up as wit but you are not witty, ever. Your audacity to approve and repeat such a remark , rather than ask why a person was being dehumanized in the first place confirms how utterly lacking you are, attempting to reduce another human being to an object of contempt.
