Once again, I warmly salute and thank all my dear friends, colleagues, and well-wishers for your continued support and encouragement. I look forward to meeting you on 14th August at the launch of my book, From Humble Beginnings.
This book is a reflection on my journey, from a classroom teacher to a headteacher, and from a civil servant to the Chief Executive Officer of the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).
Along this path, I have learned that leadership is not defined by titles, but by service, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the people one leads.
I have also come to appreciate that while a title may open doors, it is one's actions, character, and dedication that earn lasting respect.
I look forward to sharing this journey with you and celebrating this special milestone together.

Welcoming #AU Member States and partners to the validation of the Common Africa Position on Ending #ViolenceAgainstChildren and the AU Model Law on #OnlineChildSafety, which provide a strong foundation and reflect Africa's continued commitment to accelerating progress for children across the continent.
"Africa is home to the world's youngest population.
Children must not be seen as a problem to resolve, but as a huge capital to invest in.
Investing in children from an early age and through a life-cycle approach, in line with Agendas 2030 and 2063, is vital for resilient and sustainable social, human and economic development, and will provide a high return."
- Dr. Najat Maalla M’jid

ALT A large conference room screen at the ARISE Africa II - Convening and Validation of the AU Model Law on Child Online Safety event displays Dr. Najat Maalla M’jid, the UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence Against Children, speaking via video. Delegates are seated below the screen. Overlaid text reads: "Children must not be seen as a problem to resolve but as a huge capital to invest in." The image also includes the logo of the UN Office of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence Against Children.

Thousands of little feet ran today for a big cause at UNICEF's Children's Race: birth registration.
Every child counted. Every child protected.
Because birth registration is the first step toward a lifetime of rights.
This is great that a bi partisan bill is signed into law by the president. Online abuse and exploitation especially, of children should end instagram.com/reel/DJ2lBdqpU…
On March 18, we celebrated #socialworkers but until you meet social workers like Hiluf Fitsum below, it is impossible to put into perspective the #criticality of social work.
This Social Work Month, we celebrate social workers like Hiluf Fitsum, who work tirelessly to ensure #children are safe, protected, and given the opportunity to thrive.
Today, as the world celebrates World Social Workday, @UNICEFEthiopia stands in solidarity with social workers like Adiam Adinew, who rescues children from exploitation and restores healthy childhood
Meet Adiam.
