Residents and homeowners are extremely frustrated over homeless encampments at Rampart Village, on a sidewalk next to a duplex on Hoover Street in Los Angeles The homeless are trying to steal power from the nearby homes and steal their water The homeless speak Spanish and they brag about not having to work and being able to live on the sidewalk “He thinks that people have jealousy towards him 'cause he doesn't have to work” The duplex owner says they need a “Real life Batman” because the city won’t help them, someone needs to do something when they city won’t help “It's kind of like Gotham City. You need like, like, like a Batman to come help you or save you or something because I'm in danger of being bankrupt and homeless myself.” He says there are at least 7 and he legitimately fears for his life “There were like 7men out here, like on drugs. I can't go up to them, "Hey, can you go away?" I don't want to jeopardize my life” Unfortunately I did some research and found things are definitely not going to get better The LA city council member in charge of the area is Hugo Soto-Martinez. He is the son of Mexico immigrants who worked as illegal street vendors. He was one of the council members who just worked to just repeal no-camping zones in Hollywood, Silver Lake and Echo Park So these people will be getting no help.
