Can someone please explain this to me as if I'm a 5 year old. Why are the dinghies not considered to be "in distress" or "danger" while they're being escorted and shadowed by the French Navy but then magically become vulnerable cases of "possible threat to life" once they get handed over to us and need "rescuing"? I find this VERY hard to swallow.
