The UK Government has announced it’s scrapping the 2031 deadline for saving lost paths in England!
If this deadline had been allowed to stay in place, thousands of paths would have been lost forever. Find out more: bit.ly/3VW2p1v

The awesome @RobGMacfarlane speaking at the @Right_2Roam @EveryonesStars rally ‘It’s a tragedy that we’re having to fight against the extinction of access rather than for the extension of access… Labour need to make good on their earlier pledges of a right of responsible access”

My response to a recent article in @the_ecologist about the right to roam.
Access rights can go hand in hand with ecological protections. The key is ending arbitrary exclusion.
Claims to the contrary distract us from the real issues driving declines.

#TheClimateProject is tackling the climate crisis with two planting projects: sphagnum moss in the Peak District & seagrass in North Wales.
🌿Both these plants are super carbon sinks and vitally important in locking up this planet-warming gas.

Not only a beautiful short film - but an incredibly important issue. How can we care for our land, feel belonging and connection, if we can't access it?
Only 11% of England & Wales is accessible, highlighting the need to reclaim our shared spaces 🌍

But there are still barriers to visiting National Parks today, you can help us take action but signing our petition today 👉 bit.ly/4b6y5al
