Congratulations to A2's Cohort 4 artist Gina Choy!! Looking forward to your solo show in NYC!
xitter.cf/GinaChoy_/status/19326…
I’m thrilled to announce my upcoming solo exhibition in New York:
Gina Choy ∞ (2017–2025): 8 Years of Creative Research
🗓 Opening: June 21, 7PM
📍 Time to Be Happy Gallery, 219 Bowery, SoHo 🖼
🖼️On view until June 23, 4PM
This show marks the culmination of 8 years of artwork created alongside my Honours and PhD research into traditional Chinese painting. It’s a reflective, systematic exploration of this ancient artform—its rhythms, principles, and its capacity to support consciousness, vitality, and philosophical inquiry.
Each work in this series is a visual embodiment of my dissertation's core ideas. I'm proud to celebrate the conclusion of this milestone in NYC.
With deep thanks to @spumma and @OOTS X @TimeToBeHappyGY for making this possible.

Great day to visit @ChristiesInc and chat with Claire. She’ll paint for you, talk with you about AI—even do her attempt at dance 😅 I’ve seen her describe the family in front of her and light up at a child’s smile, even sending him a hug and a wave goodbye. Pure magic.

Two years ago, @clairesilver asked me to lead @AccelerateArt as Exec Dir. I am grateful to @benroy__ and Claire for this amazing opportunity. Today, I am stepping down from this role confident that a healthy seed has been planted and that there is a bright future for A2.
🧵👇
I joined A2 as a member in 2022. It was an honor to be included (members were hand picked by founders - from well known artists, to emerging artist, to well know collectors to small collectors to overall art enthusiasts). The idea was clear: we all wanted to help empower artists so why not join forces and do it together?
We had our first event in NY in 2022. I donated funds for the event and contributed my time to make it happen. It was a huge success but it wasn’t enough. More had to be done.
So the next two years I focused on the following:
✅growing the community (not just numbers but rather the feeling)
✅growing artist exposure (through exhibits and relevant programs and opportunities)
✅creating long lasting partnerships
✅creating a valuable and respected brand
The two annual reports show the incredible amount of things we did with no staff and very little funding (A2 is a US non profit so things like annual reports seem lame but should be done).

2024: xitter.cf/accelerateart/status/1…
While I did this pro-bono and even investing personal funds, I have to say that I wouldn’t have been able to do any of it without the help and support of the amazing @outofthesystem1 who also donated endless amount of hours of work and time away from her family to help artists.
What is next for me? I am not going anywhere and I am open to new opportunities that might come my way! I am ready to join a new project where I can help make a difference.
I will also continue to be a member and huge supporter of A2 and I will be there for whatever the new leadership might need. I urge everyone that can, to donate to A2 because the impact this org has on artist is real and much needed.
Thank you to the Ben and Claire and the A2 Board, thank you to all the amazing A2 members and mostly, thank you to the over 300 A2 artists. You have in me a cheerleader, a believer, a collector and a friend! 🫂❤️

Our beloved @NaughtalieStone just lost everything in the LA fires. Her home, the Disco Cabin, and all her belongings are gone. She needs our help to rebuild her life.
Now is our time to give back ❤️

Artists please remember: there will always be lists. You will be in some, maybe not on others. What matters is your hard work, consistency, creativity and voice. Stick to that and the rest will follow!
