Just spoke to Jalen Hurts’ agent, Nicole Lynn, who clarified that while Hurts was up until early Sunday morning getting evaluated at a hospital, he was able to sleep upon rejoining the team and the Eagles set aside a room for him at the stadium. Videos from the stadium show Hurts coming onto the field just before kickoff and he felt rested enough to play.

Pro athletes are programmed from the time they're like 12 to "die on the field". It is baked into the culture of pro sports, and the teams themselves profit immensely from cultivating that mindset.
They have a responsibility to the players to keep it from actually happening.

I am going to say, I'm not ignoring the fact that Jalen himself has agency here, and made a reckless decision with his own health and safety to go out and play on the field. There's responsibility on his shoulders too.
But he was still failed by the Eagles as an organization.
