Big congratulations to Mr. Hito Kiho, Leader of the Nagaland Madrigal Singers, on being conferred the prestigious Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for his outstanding contribution to Choral Music.
Hito has not only contributed immensely towards the growth and development of music in Nagaland, but has also brought glory to our State and Nation by leading his team to Gold Medals at the World Choir Games in New Zealand.
His continued contributions to our music ecosystem, especially his commitment towards training, mentoring and professionalising the next generation of musicians, are truly commendable.
Well done, Hito! Keep shining and inspiring. Thank you for bringing so much joy and happiness into our lives through your wonderful music. Keep making Nagaland proud! Best wishes always!

An investment in our athletes is an investment in Nagaland’s future. Let sporting excellence open doors to opportunities, careers and brighter futures.
A fruitful and engaging meeting with the Regional Director of the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Mr. Dhandapani, along with the Deputy Director of the Nagaland Centre.

On our part, we assure our fullest cooperation, assistance and support in our shared vision and collective ambition of taking Indian sports to greater heights.
Together, we move forward towards a stronger sporting Nagaland and a greater sporting India.
As we commemorate the 25th Edition of the Dr. T. Ao Trophy, being played in the home district of the legendary footballer, we pay homage to a great son of Nagaland and of India.
From faraway Changki village in Mokokchung district to the centre of the Olympic arena at the 1948 London Olympics, leading independent India as its first football captain at the Olympic Games - Dr. Talimeren Ao was more than an inspirational figure.
A pathbreaker. A pioneer. A nation builder. A LEGEND whose legacy lives on. One of the greatest sons of Nagaland, whose extraordinary journey will continue to inspire and motivate generations to dream, to believe and to achieve.
Best wishes to all the teams, participants and organisers of this landmark edition. May the spirit of sportsmanship prevail. May FOOTBALL be the biggest winner!

… in pickleball KUCHI was on a different level altogether … unparalleled passion .. amazing commitment .. infectious energy .. MAGNETIC … and much, much more …
We are already missing YOU terribly … we didn’t play that one last match .. we didn’t say our goodbyes .. we had so many plans … why does it have to be this way …
There will never be another YOU … cannot comprehend … still cannot believe …
Thank you for the memories … thank you for everything … go well brother …
Kuchi was the founder and owner of Barak Football Club … a passionate lover of football whose vision, commitment and tireless efforts took the club from its humble beginnings to becoming perhaps the most accomplished football club in Nagaland. He made Peren the home of football ..
Barak FC went on to win multiple trophies, including the historic inaugural Nagaland Super League … but beyond the trophies and achievements, Kuchi created opportunities, propelled dreams and opened pathways for young talents facing countless difficulties to pursue their aspirations ..
He was one of those who helped build the foundations of Nagaland’s footballing ecosystem … block by block … through years of contributions, sacrifices and overcoming unimaginable hurdles … just so that our kids could play football, dream bigger and aspire to reach the highest standards ..
Thank you, Kuchi, for all that you did … for believing in our young people and for giving so much of yourself to the game you loved ..
Your legacy will live on for a long, long time … and every time one of our boys and girls achieves excellence, a part of that success will belong to you. We will always be thankful ..
Go well, my friend … you gave us so much ..
Kuchi !!! Still unable to digest this … beyond shocking … just cannot believe you are gone. There is an emptiness in our community that words cannot describe … and a void that will be so difficult to fill.
Go well, my friend … your contributions, sacrifices and all that you have done for so many will be remembered for a long, long time. But more than anything, we will miss YOU … your laughter, your energy, your warmth and the way you brought us all together …
We are already missing you so, so much … thank you for the friendship, the good times and the countless memories. Wish we had more time together …
Rest in peace, brother …

So sad to hear of Jeffrey Archer suddenly going away. One of the greatest storytellers of our times.
I fell in love with reading thanks to him and his stories …. learnt so much from his books, his characters and the worlds he created ….. I remember rushing back faster from school and college because his stories were waiting for me…
At that age, in a far-away land, Archer opened my eyes to so much. And till today - and for the rest of my life - I will continue to relate to, remember and draw from his stories ..
Thank You for what you have done … Thank You for shaping our lives …. Thank You for the hours and hours of company …
Go well … Hero .. Guide .. Mentor ..
That storytelling fire is going to burn long every night up there… envy the angels ..
What an outstanding performance by Indian Athletics at the Asian Games!
1 Gold | 9 Silver | 14 Bronze - 24 medals
• 5 National Records
• 11 Personal Bests
• 3 Season Bests
• 28% of India’s total medals came from Athletics
And beyond the podium - 9 fourth-place, 8 fifth-place and 6 sixth-place finishes.
Since January 2026, our athletes have broken 33 National Records.
There is always room to improve and miles to go, but Indian Athletics continues to rise, becoming stronger, deeper and more competitive - and contributing significantly towards India’s emergence as a global sporting nation.
Proud of our athletes, coaches and the entire athletics fraternity. Well Done once again.
