my take from last night is a 56 seat senate + a close loss from jamie davis, inspiring enough name recognition, money, & support to have him legitimately challenge jeff landry (in a still republican voting environment next year) is about best case scenario

First message from the senior advisor to Ken Paxton since his loss for senate:
I'm seriously in shock. I don't know what just happened in my country. What I know is that our children are no longer safe. Our borders are gonna be wide open. We're gonna have a state income tax. Our churches, Christianity—it's all gone. And let's not even talk about public education. What did we just do?

Poor AIPAC. All that pro-Israel money wasted in a futile attempt to defeat someone who tells the truth about Israel's genocide in Gaza and endless occupation of Palestinian territory. trib.al/u3W3hpT

Last session, Republicans in the Texas House banned Democrats from chairing committees, one of the last vestiges of bipartisanship in the Legislature.
Now they've lost control of the chamber for the first time in 24 years.

All that talk, but you admitted that you didn't even vote yesterday.

A reminder:
President Trump endured two impeachments and was then resoundingly re-elected.
President Trump and his team faced years of unrelenting partisan investigations and witch hunts, with subpoena after subpoena. He was resoundingly re-elected.
A notable difference is that during our last round of investigations we lacked the Presidency and the power of the federal government.
Our team is more united than ever before, we are more prepared than ever before, and we believe in the cause more than ever before.
Best wishes and good luck to the Democrats. This strategy will backfire, as history has already proven.

Elon Musk moving to Texas to get away from Dems, becoming the biggest partisan megadonor in history, then spending around a half-billion dollars to have his own state go blue immediately in the next election — with data centers the top gov issue — is pretty impressive
