Zero nods at the other's words. "That's right. You always do." And he meant it. Skull Face had always done admirable work, even if the commander never quite admitted so. "Doesn't involve me?" Zero's brow arches. "You think me incapable."

a chuckle. "Fine boots they are."

crosses his arms, judging slightly.

"I would think cautiously... Another attempt to send me to hell, and I might have to take a pretty little... souvenir."

"or should I say; 'someone' to lose?" His fingers flip the picture around, revealing Major Raikov's face. It isn't a special picture, simply the one ever soldier takes for recruitment. Still, the change in Volgin's expression is enough for Zero to anchor his goal.

Zero listens to the man speak with a quiet, calculating focus. He smirks. Dirty. Right. "You forget yourself, Colonel Volgin. Unlike myself, you're a man with something to lose.." The older man picks up an envelope from his desk, opening it and pulling out a single photograph.

@thundersboltts is staring again. The commander turns to face the taller man. "Volgin, I hope you aren't attempting to return me to the grave with just a stare." Zero's attention returns to the screen on his desk. He's busy-- hopefully the Colonel makes himself scarce. Soon.

"I'm here to review the disaster you've been keeping up in my absence." Zero almost smirks. "Have you been keeping your command?"
