We need to get to the bottom of this matter, heads must roll.
“We only charged $3,000 and $2,000 as full and final payments for our roles in event logistics, travel arrangements, hotel bookings, transportation and security. Our dealings were based on institutional arrangements tied to specific programmes and activities, not personal financial arrangements with individuals seeking visas to travel to the United States, Canada or Mexico. We categorically deny claims that our organisation or its CEO illegally received the alleged $611,000 from private individuals or is avoiding a refund.” — Nana Boateng Gyimah, CEO of Tribe Culture Fest, responds to allegations by the Sports Minister.

My only confusion here is why she thinks anyone cares about her indiscretions. You know rage baits when you see them because nobody who harbors such filthy thoughts openly announces them.
Yesterday a guy told me his sister wants to be friends with me, so I asked him what’s her profession and where she lives and he said she’s a beautician who works from their family house (ie) nail tech, lash tech and makeup artist who works from home. I told him no, I can’t be friends with her and he asked why and I told him the simple truth; I don’t make friends with people who are more likely to become liabilities in my life, than be helpful to me. What am I supposed to do with a lash tech who lives in her parents house? Before you know it she will start billing me for everything as a friend because “you be big lawyer nau”. My friends are people who can be productive and we can both mutually benefit from each other. Eg my doctor friends and I exchange legal and medical services for each other and recommendations. My lawyer friends, I don’t even need to say it. We share briefs, share clients, help each other with cases etc. My friends in different forces (NPF, Army, Airforce, Navy etc), we help each other professionally. Heck even my chef friends, I don ever run free legal services and she paid by cooking a weeks worth of food for me to store in my fridge. Friendship is meant to be symbiotic and unfortunately being friends with some girls in certain hustles is an invitation to parasitism not friendship. Tf am I supposed to even do with her or gist with her? At least my other friends we can gist hours together about work experiences, but what do we have to gist about? How a customer didn’t want red nails? Or how a customer under charged her for fixing lashes?🥲😭🤣🤦🏽‍♀️ Even if I need a beautician, I already have a bevy of trusted makeup artists, I don’t fix nails and my lashes are long naturally so all I need is mascara. So what exactly do I need her for as a friend? Company? When I prefer being alone with my dogs than with people? Sha her brother said I am mean but him sef none of his male friends are into such petty hustles but na me suppose befriend financial burden say na friend. LMAOOOO!

The fact that Chelsea are expecting to beat an unbeaten Everton at home is what I call pure delusion. Aside from their last game, Chelsea have been so ass compared to this prime Everton side we've been watching. We all remember what happened the last time Chelsea faced Everton. That's exactly what's happening today. TOTAL DEMOLITION. I need every Chelsea fan on this app to be present. No disappearing after full time.

He’s clearly sick. Just pray he finds help and forget about him. Focus on what you’re doing bro.

The U.S. has no VAT. If you mean state deployed sales taxes, that’s not exactly what we’re dealing with here.
About the 20% tax on services like ChatGPT and others in Ghana, the UK and EU have tax rates ranging from 19% to 25%. In the US, depending on the state, it’s around 0% to 10%. Morocco is at 20%, and Nigeria is at 7.5%. So my problem isn’t really about the taxes. My problem is why Ghanaian leaders are doing so little to support innovation. We are still treating data bundles as a luxury when we should be making internet access as cheap and accessible as possible. Without internet access, people can’t even make use of these digital services. And after collecting all these taxes, what development are we actually seeing? What are Ghanaians getting in return? That’s my biggest problem. They keep collecting money from the people, but we see very little improvement in return!

I need someone to explain something to me because, clearly, the party's communication is "this is not a new tax" This tax was assented to on December 9, 2025, and took effect in January this year. It is fairly new. It is also very clear that many weren't aware of this 🙃

Congratulations my brother @fatheranthoni. I’m proud of you.
APPRECIATION MESSAGE I wish to express my profound gratitude to the Functional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), especially Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey and National Communication Officer, Sammy Gyamfi for the confidence reposed in me through my appointment as Deputy Director of Communication. This appointment is both a privilege and a solemn responsibility. On this occasion, I pledge myself to the cause of our party, to lead a stable democracy that delivers socioeconomic development for the people of Ghana. I further dedicate myself to the protection of the people’s mandate through accurate, factual and responsible communication. I also wish to express my sincere appreciation to the entire membership of the NDC and to all individuals who have directly or indirectly supported me throughout my journey thus far. Your encouragement, guidance, goodwill and steadfast support have been invaluable, and I remain deeply grateful for the role each of you has played in my growth and this achievement. Thank you for the trust and confidence. Kudi Kpekpe!! Julius Kwame Anthony Deputy Communication Director, NDC.

Welcome to the Bar! Out of a personal belief that our new lawyers deserve to spend the whole weekend celebrating the commendable achievement of being called to the bar, I've held these few words until now. For some of them, tomorrow is their first working day as lawyers; for others, that day will come later. Whatever the case may be, welcome to the bar. May prosperity locate you in the noblest of ways. I've picked up a few lessons over the years that may be helpful. Here you go: 1. Beware of generic advice. If advice isn't bespoke to you, endure it, but by no means be bound by it. "Go and do an LLM." "Work in a big law firm." "Do litigation for a few years before you decide what to specialize in." You'll hear these from well-meaning people trying to help you grow. Appreciate their selflessness, but after at least five years of study for your professional credentials, you have earned the right to decide how your career is shaped. That something worked for a senior lawyer 20 years ago doesn't mean it will work for you, especially in a completely different legal market. Value such exhortations for what they are, but chart your own path, intentionally. 2. Guard your professional reputation with all your might. Hear me out. Don't worry about the flimsy things people think of you. Not everyone will like you, and expecting otherwise will leave you hurt every day. People may have reservations about your life and your choices, but make them respect your professional worth. Give them no choice. In the professional world, nothing should be personal except what you bring to the table. How? I won't fall into the trap of giving generic advice. Whatever route you choose, make sure the substance of your law is never in question. The law doesn't stop growing because you've become a lawyer; it may not even know you've arrived. It changes, it grows, and it demands constant attention. 3. Extend grace to clients. A long time ago, someone told me that doctors and lawyers do exactly the same thing in different places. Anyone with a legal problem is like a sick person: until you treat the ailment, the itch won't go away. Remember that. 4. Touch lives, in your own little way. I now teach law in a program that deliberately emphasizes the public policy underpinnings of the law. It gives me great joy, because I know we're producing a unique crop of lawyers who are responsive to the unspoken ethos behind the black letter of the law. After all is said and done, law is a means to an end. Prosperity isn't the end; it's merely a necessary companion on the journey. Welcome to the bar, and may the bar continue to prosper. PS: Every new lawyer needs to read Alan Dershowitz’s ‘Letters to a Young Lawyer’.

Pretty simple!
or maybe we should change the pupillage rules. either do away with it or reduce the 7 year requirement. also at some point, we should trust that 5-6 years of legal training should mean you don’t need to be hand held.
