A fine afternoon and evening on arrival in Finland yesterday. A different vibe to Tallinn but Scandinavia always hits the spot. I stopped here briefly in 2019 on my way to Rovaniemi for the Aberdeen game so it’s nice to get a full weekend to explore it properly!

I came to scope out the ferry terminal yesterday and it was all very smooth getting on. Check in on arrival via self service kiosk and it’ll give you a ticket to scan for boarding. Paid about £18 booked just over 5 weeks ago. It’s a 2.5 hour crossing!

Having been to Riga twice and Vilnius before this completes the Baltic capitals, a really cool part of Europe imo. Such a beautiful place and got lucky with the weather yesterday before grey skies and rain today. It only cost me £60 all in to get here from Liverpool

A lovely evening in Dumfries, well worth the trip up from Liverpool. It’s actually about an hour closer to me than it is from Aberdeen! And got the round of pies in of course 🤣
I work 4 on 4 off and for literally the first time this year I have 4 whole days off with zero plans and nowhere to be. It feels kinda weird but also so calm. Beautiful weather to enjoy and a few slow days of just being present. Regular service soon resumes so I’ll enjoy this.
