i started yesterday vomiting (sinus infection hell) - donβt worry i still managed to vote - and ended the night disgusted at how many votes reform was getting. prophetic, really.
just seen the doctor about an alternative to my mΓ©niΓ¨reβs disease medication (since i havenβt been able to get it since october) and he confirmed what i suspected: brexit is the reason for the shortages. almost like we said this would happen. weird, huh πΆ
i havenβt been able to get my essential medication for my mΓ©niΓ¨reβs disease/vertigo prevention since october, and every day i go without the vertigo gets worse
in related news, i just fell down the stairs because of a massive vertigo flare up π
shortly after my mum died last year, i read a quote that said something to the effect of βgrief doesnβt disappear, you just grow around itβ & at the time that felt impossible. a year on, i can understand that quote now. i still grieve, but i can remember the good times too
not to be dramatic on main, but i think i genuinely despise this country at times. the fuck do you mean, people who live in the uk canβt get the unlimited rail pass to travel by uk trains???
saw this on reddit and thought it was a bit,,, uh, hypocritical of the government that literally has multiple scams and frauds to be saying this lmao #ToriesOut
something i havent seen enough people talk about (during my lurking on here the last few months) is the med shortage crisis in this country. it's been impossible for me to get hyoscine since october, a med i need to function with meniere's disease. nor can i get alternatives 1/4
i mean, obviously the tories don't give a shit about us. we already knew that. but when they're sitting back and allowing you to not be able to access essential medications (and in one case, a drug that literally extends their life) it just hits differently 4/4
my works building was broken into last night. nothing was stolen, but absolutely everything was trashed. they broke into all the offices (in ours, they threw computers, monitors, & the mini fridge on the floor) and into the server the room (inc breaking the door). i hate people
update: the power has been off for nearly five hours. the company said theyβd send an engineer and call to keep us updated on whatβs happening. neither of those things have happened π we canβt even make any food bc our stuff is electric, not gas. what a great country this is π
a power outage started two hours ago. itβs still not back on. the house is getting colder which is being *really* kind to my asthma and currently worse than normal hypothyroidism
i wish food would actually state whatβs in it properly on the front of the packaging, or make the ingredients font on the back larger. yesterday i bought smth from tesco trusting what it said on the front, & the thing gave me an allergic reaction bc there was hidden mustard in it
if, like me, you need to briefly escape the hellscape that is normal islandβ’, i cannot recommend the βyouβre dead to meβ podcast enough. itβs funny and you learn about various history topics (and there seems to be at least one brexit joke an episode lmao)
