Weird
Viral video of police being called to a youth soccer game near Orlando, Florida, is drawing outrage, with some claiming the cops showed up because a 3-year-old child was too good, while the league's director says the call was made because the parents were being disruptive. The parents agreed to leave the field and the league, but told police they would like a refund — a stipulation the league's director had already told officers he agrees to. Horrifying. Now we know why Netanyahu continues to ban international media from Gaza.
Google Earth updated the images of Gaza. It's devastating.

“Anxiety increases in direct ratio and proportion as man departs from God.” - Fulton J. Sheen In his 1949 book Peace of Soul, Fulton J. Sheen connects much of modern psychological distress to a person’s spiritual condition. He argues that anxiety and inner turmoil tend to grow when individuals become increasingly disconnected from their relationship with God. Sheen believed that because human beings have free will and the ability to distinguish between good and evil, turning away from spiritual purpose can create a sense of inner conflict and instability. In his view, lasting peace cannot come from material achievement alone; it requires restoring harmony between one’s inner life and spiritual beliefs.

“The books that world calls immoral are books that show the world its own shame.” - Oscar Wilde Oscar Wilde (1854–1900) was an Irish poet, novelist, and playwright who became one of the most prominent literary figures of the Victorian era. Known for his sharp wit, clever satire, and memorable paradoxes, Wilde used humor to examine human behavior and challenge hypocrisy, vanity, and rigid social expectations. Among his best-known works are The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Importance of Being Earnest, Lady Windermere’s Fan, and De Profundis. His writing frequently explored the tension between outward appearances and hidden realities, often transforming everyday observations into deeper reflections on society and human nature. Wilde valued individuality, beauty, artistic expression, and the freedom to live authentically. His personal life, however, was shaped by controversy and persecution over his homosexuality. In 1895, he was convicted of “gross indecency” and sentenced to two years of hard labor, an experience that profoundly affected the final years of his life.

Of all the conversations I've heard on protecting the earth from pollution, the one that resonates all tye time was what a delegate from South America (during COP in Riyadh) said to me. His view was to turn technologists into lovers of nature.
