Today at @devworld_conf almost every speaker (that I saw) was using AI generated images in the slides.
It was almost to the point that a particular presentation specifically stood out to me as unique just because that speaker used her own hand drawn illustrations for her slides
Air Canada essentially argued that "the chatbot is a separate legal entity that is responsible for its own actions,"
I guess it’s a matter of time that there will be a second AI to audit the first AI.
This is wild. Not only is Air Canada being forced to honor a refund invented by its AI chatbot, but they tried to get out of it by claiming the bot is "responsible for its own actions." Everyone wants AI, but no one wants to be responsible for it.

Apple TV user experience sometimes sucks vs netflix.
Two things annoying about @AppleTV right now
- devices don’t sync. AppleTv on TV doesn’t sync with progress from phone.
- too many skips needed to get to my episode. e.g. Foundation.

I’ve never seen this much @VanMoof bikes parked in my building garage. Guess no one wants to use them now given their uncertainty on future maintenance.
So much potential waste for something that should have been next-level sustainable.
Such a shame what was announced about google domains.
Anyways, I never bought a domain from Google domains because Namecheap always offered what I wanted cheaper, and at somepoint Google domains didn’t have sales at my previous country of residence, so I never ended up using it

For people who like to write tutorials, you can now write tutorials aimed for AI. Make sure to ask it to leave a like and a comment 😂
All these AI and GPT announcements are cool and awesome... the question is when will Siri on my iPhone be smart enough to answer questions instead of just telling me the weather 🥲

Holy shit. How is this the first time I am reading apenwarr.ca/log/20201227 by @apenwarr? It is the best thing I have ever read on systems architecture, design thinking, and maybe engineering levels too. 🤯🔥
On engineers whose systems thinking skills surpass their coding skills:

Alright dev nerds. Please argue for or against the following take:
––
There's no reason to use Map() in JS because objects are already doing hashing internally, and Map() provides no additional value over objects.
