Mark Ruffalo's latest attack on the Paramount-Warner Bros. merger slammed the Ellison family's ties to Israel and their role in “what we now have come to see as a genocide” in Gaza.
Ruffalo shared a video of Oracle’s executive vice chair Safra Catz boasting about the company’s efforts to "advance the agenda for the Israeli military" by making "really profoundly scary technology" available to them.
"This is the company that Larry Ellison is using to fund his son David’s Warner Bros acquisition," Ruffalo wrote in a fiery post. "These 'really profoundly scary technologies; will most likely be merged into one of the largest media conglomerates in the world and one day used on you... I completely understand where you’re coming from, but for a lot of gamers physical discs are the only way they could afford to play games because they could get them secondhand. You can also give games to your younger siblings Which is a great way to introduce them to the games you were playing.
Most importantly though, as we saw from PlayStation this past week, if the media we buy is only digital, it can be taken away from us at a moment’s notice with no recourse. Imagine that, one day your entire library of games could be deleted overnight because technically you don’t own it.

ESA updated their statement, a third time after saying community servers are "the black market of video games", "illegal", and "piracy" to the California State Senate. They tripled down, updated their statement, and caused a bill to fail
We wonder: What will be the consequences?
The ESA called private servers for Minecraft and Call of Duty "illegal" in a California hearing on a bill related to the "stop killing games" movement.
"They're illegal," a rep for the lobbying group argued. "They are not in any way affiliated with Microsoft. Microsoft, for Minecraft, has gotten a lot of criticism because of those community servers not employing the same safety standards that Microsoft does on their Minecraft servers."
