Jeff absolutely believed the PGF was authentic until his death. He and I discussed it several times after his interviews with the documentary crew, and a friend discussed it with him during his final weeks in hospice. Any suggestion that he changed his mind is misleading spin.
Did Meldrum Dump Patty?
That’s the claim some have floated after Marq Evans and Tamir Ardon showed him their mystery footage in November 2024 — that he knew the truth and no longer treated the Patterson-Gimlin Film as genuine.
The later record doesn’t support it.
In the April 2025 Backcountry Manifesto interview — roughly five months after that session — Meldrum walks through the biomechanics of the Bluff Creek trackway and the film itself with the same analytical posture he had used for years. He refers to the subject as “Patty” without qualification.
“…I’m quite confident in what I’ve described to you because you can watch it take place in the foot of Patty on the film. You can see her heel come up first and almost reach verticality. And if it was a stiff artificial foot, a rigid prosthetic, then the rest of her foot, given the orientation of the heel, would have to stick eight inches straight into the ground. But it’s not, you know. It’s just bent. It’s flexed, and that’s what we call the mid-tarsal break. … And that is the most fundamental distinction between a Sasquatch footprint and the human footprint.”
That is not the language of someone who had abandoned the film or Patty herself. It is the language of someone still treating it as a usable record of real anatomy and gait. The mid-tarsal break he points to on screen is the same feature he had long argued was difficult to reconcile with a costume or a stiff artificial foot.
Whatever Meldrum’s private reaction was in the moment — and the reports of discomfort about how the material was presented to him are relevant context — the subsequent public record does not support the claim that he gave up on the Patterson-Gimlin Film. He continued to analyze Patty as a genuine primate subject. The charge that he “knew the truth” and walked away from the film is difficult to square with the interview he gave afterward.
I watched #Below on Netflix and enjoyed it for the most part. Little creepy. Interesting lore. BUT did that finale felt like an entirely different show, almost to the point of “putting a team together” feel-good family drama w/ mustache twirling villains?
I almost feel bad for this woman. She was set up for failure due to incredibly poor vetting and preparation. I don't share her ideology, but also don't revel in her public flameout.
BREAKING NYT:
Trump's new press secretary, Katie Zacharia, was fired Friday, after less than a week on the job, according to three people familiar with the matter. nytimes.com/2026/10/16/us/po…
In this exchange @MikenzieFrost does a solid job asking @RepAndyHarrisMD questions about his disrespect for the press. He keeps chirping "liberal media" when the fact is he behaved like a petulant child after a poor performance at a forum.
NEW: Congressman Andy Harris joined me on @FOX45InDepth and I questioned him about his viral clash with Cat Murphy, the University of Maryland journalist.
Harris defended his actions.

here's Bruce Blakeman tonight claiming "I never said that I would cut Medicaid in half" -- immediately followed by a clip of him saying on Fox Business in June that "we make sure we cut Medicaid in half"
You might be #Halloween Cool, but are you Scout in "To Kill A Mockingbird" wearing a Ham costume labeled "Ham" Halloween Cool?
As much as I love #Ghostbusters as a great comedy, when I saw it as a little kid, it also had some scary moments. THIS guy freaked me out! What's an onscreen ghost that lives in the haunted attic of your mind rent free?

Holy shit check out the meltdown @RepAndyHarrisMD is having on a reporter because the guy doesn’t know the law of the state that he represents

RJ Mitte did an exceptional job on Breaking Bad, and by raising awareness for cerebral palsy. Met him a couple times, and he was a kind, sweet soul. Sending so much love to his family and friends.
RIP RJ Mitte. Everyone knows him from Breaking Bad but RJ put a ton of work to support others and was a speaker and ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Hospitals for Children where he was a former patient. screenrant.com/rj-mitte-dies…
It's #SpookySeason, so what is funniest type of #paranormal encounter you've heard of (or experienced)?
Let's get spooky. Again! #ParanormalCaughtOnCamera is coming back for more eps. We're about to kick off filming. AND we still have more ready to drop any time now. Love our show & thrilled to be back. (Plus if you love the #Paranormal, check out my spooky podcast #TalkingStrange)
There's something eerie and magical about seeing this. I used to drive across a bridge over Lake Jesup in FL (the highest concentration of gators in the world) where I'd see hundreds of pairs in the moonlight. It didn't make me want to go for a nighttime swim but was incredible.
Ah yes, the administration and party in power are really looking out for the little guy.

I like @kellyclarkson. As a Brooklynite, I like Art of Play. I can’t comment on her experience. Maybe they were rude. Maybe she was. Maybe truth is somewhere in between. But she has a way bigger platform & influence. Even if she’s in the right, her posts don’t benefit anyone.
I get why folks with December birthdays don’t want to be lumped in w/ Christmas. But Hallmark is missing out by not doing #Halloween Birthday cards.
“Congrats! You were born in Halloween Season. Your parents boned during wintertime now you get a birthday season of skeletons!”
