Imagine all of these companies asking employees to work remotely for 2+ weeks to prevent the spread of illness only to learn the companies are continuing to function just fine with a remote workforce and everyone is content. Imagine.

It's official. I was hired to write React but... for the forseeable future at my job I'll only be writing Vue, Node, & ASP .NET. Get really good at one thing, but be really flexible learning new stuff too.

One of the more freeing moments I've had as a developer at work, was when I took the time to improve the tools developed by the previous team. I found my pain points, and I developed solutions that I wanted. This is why I love what I do, I can make things happen. #CodeNewbie

It's okay to be rejected from a job interview. It's okay to be let go from a job. It's okay to get passed over for promotion. It doesn't mean you're not good enough. It means life has a different plan for you.

My favorite part of conferences is meeting all the amazing people. But I’m also an introvert and socializing depletes my energy. If someone isn’t as outgoing or conversational at a conference, keep in mind they might be an introvert and it’s likely nothing personal! ❤️

Taking a twitter break for a bit. Just sounds nice and gives more time to focus on other things.

This got me thinking about how difficult it would be to create automated systems that find malicious code that was uploaded to a site like BitBucket. I think about the work that I do, and it's all very humbling. arstechnica.com/information-…

When some "influencer" tells you something is "garbage" in a clickbait video, do not take their word for it. Do your own research and try things for yourself and YOU decide if it is garbage. Do not base what you want to learn from the opinion of a youtuber.

#CodeNewbie I've gotten to the point where the writing code is not an issue. Next level is writing good stories and pinpointing all the parts that MIGHT BE unclear. Basically, what is and is not the issue and relevant to write.

#CodeNewbie Clean and simple explanation of what "immutability" is, what it isn't, why you should care, and even a library for it. Though you really should wait until you can achieve immutablity without the library before making uae of it. css-tricks.com/understanding…

Cold emailed a bunch of startup CEOs. One of those emails turned into a coffee. The coffee turned into an internship. Internship turned into a job. Been in the game for the past 8 years 🙌🏾
