Oh man! Heard about Glen Hansard passing. I remember how deeply moved I was watching 'Once' in the big screen with my now wife And then we got a chance to relive it again during the 2010 #NelsonvilleMusicFestival One of the finest voices I have known.
Looking through the list of Gene Hackman movies. Of course Unforgiven and French Connection. But it goes on and on. He might have been one of the best actors of all time with his range and success. What a loss!
“There is nothing so American as our national parks.... The fundamental idea behind the parks...is that the country belongs to the people, that it is in process of making for the enrichment of the lives of all of us.”
-Franklin D. Roosevelt
Until there are no longer
First-class and second-class citizens of any nation
Until the color of a man's skin
Is of no more significance than the color of his eyes
Me say war

Just like that, my time at ASC Tech and @CLLCatOSU comes to an end. Such a great journey with collaborations, friendships, and #WOWmoments. Found this image when packing. A calligraphist painted my name and said you deserve it! And yes I do!
Adios. And to new beginnings!
Foreign born CEOs in American companies. And these are just the large(r) ones. There are a lot more smaller and upstart companies that have #foreignborn leaders. It would be nice to see more of the same in higher ed, but alas!

I come back from a long meeting and TinaTurner has died. I'm not going for meetings anymore! Or wearing orange shirts, or khaki pants, or driving to work.
#RIPTinaTurner Doing a deep dive of the Ike and Tina stuff and OMG!
Google announced in Google I/O 2023 that #AndroidAuto will support full Microsoft and Zoom audio calls. I am ready to live and work in my car.

Saddened but not surprised to see leaders in Nepal take advantage of the #Bhutan #Refugee crisis, promising to send them to the US

सब्बैलाइ नया बर्षको शुभकामना. Best wishes to all for the Nepali New Year 2080. #NepalNewYear
Party like it's 1999! Or 2080.

#Nowruz new year celebration
Ethnic music, food and beverages to share.
Besides a crash course on #Persian culture, it was great for a music nerd like me to learn of the #Setar and Tombak. The Setar (NOT the Indian Sitar) has moveable frets that are made of sheep intestines. Great music by the Namazi brothers

The #Oscars #2023AcademyAwards wins by Asian actors, directors, others, finally point fingers to the hierarchy in Hollywood (and elsewhere). Indian, Chinese, and other Asians have had a very rich history and high-end production art, theater, music and recognition is long overdue.
The #Bollywood movie industry paved the way for Indian cinema, but the 2023 #AcademyAwards wins by non-Bollywood Indian movies (finally!) show how far Indian cinema has come.

For #EdTech folks, these are the kinds of cool #TechStuff we can do, but rarely do! This one was excellent & fun.
Students got into it.

Tickets to Wu-Tang Clan was easy as pie. Wonder if TM ironed out some of the kinks after the T.Swift and Beyonce debacle or more likely people are like "who"?
Damn right I stayed up to watch Lebron pass the legendary Kareem. When I saw that he needed 36 more, it was just clear that he'd do it tonight. Congrats @KingJames
Just 1:00pm and I already have ~7000 steps, 26 floors, and ~ 3 miles. Just one of those #EdTech days. #StayingFit by working and #NotWorkingOut. Lets see if I can get to 15,000 steps by the end of the work-day.
