I’d like to thank every single person who came out today for this protest. I'd also like to thank the millions of people who showed support in their own way at 3pm. Thank you to the leaders of INDIA bloc, all the workers of the Congress party and workers of the INDIA bloc. Today was a very important day because we needed to show the government that the people of India are not going to be intimidated. You cannot beat us, threaten us, frighten us. We will not accept being bullied. I was wondering where the cowards of the RSS who were beating the young children day before yesterday were. Where were those people? Because I didn’t see them. When we are standing there and when the people of India are standing there, why don’t you come out? Why don’t you wear your little scarves and come out and see what happens? Because you’re essentially, like the Prime Minister of India, bullies. You cannot stand up. You can only use power to fight. So, it’s very heartening to see what happened. I’m proud of everybody. Everybody worked like a team. As I said in my press conference, there are no parallel protests. It’s one protest, and it’s a protest where everybody is standing together. Every single person is going to stand against these killers of our Constitution, these killers of our democracy. And we’re not going to back down. I’d also like to thank everybody from civil society organisations who came, supported us. We value your support, and we love all of you. Thank you all for coming out and defending the idea of India, the idea of the Constitution, the idea of our democracy. I’m extremely proud of every single person who came out on the streets. Thank you.

He didn’t carry a weapon. He carried food. He didn’t incite violence. He served meals. Since when did being a food volunteer at Jantar Mantar during CJP protests become a crime? Who will stand up for Junaid? A police force that sees a food volunteer as a threat needs to ask itself some hard questions.🙏
#BREAKING Junaid Malik, the food volunteer at the CJP student protests in Delhi, moves the #SupremeCourt alleging harassment and detention by police. Junaid says that he was picked up from Delhi by police officials, and was kept in a vehicle for 5-6 hours, during which he was threatened and intimidated, and was ultimately dropped off at a far off location in Dehradun road. Junaid also says that Ghaziabad police detained his father, and raided his home. The police also allegedly visited his married sister's home at Meerut and picked up her father-in-law and brother-in-law. He alleges that the coercive steps were not taken with any paper-work and following legal procedure. Junaid urges Supreme Court to stop coercive steps by police against his family members.

So you’d get Ministers (who’d now have trainings on Insta optimisation selling you stories of “India Shining” - and how the #viksitbharat objective is being settled by this government) so it’s time the amplifiers here did their best in busting some claims from The word go ! I looked into some of this government’s biggest development claims. The legal framework for digital payments, the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, was created under the previous government. The IMPS infrastructure on which UPI was built was also developed earlier. UIDAI and Aadhaar were likewise created before 2014. The deeper I looked, the pattern became harder to ignore: many schemes presented as new were actually older programmes that had been renamed, repackaged, expanded, or relaunched. Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan became Swachh Bharat Mission. Indira Awaas Yojana became PM Awaas Yojana–Gramin. National Rural Livelihoods Mission became Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana. Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana was absorbed into Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana. Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana was absorbed into Ayushman Bharat–PM-JAY. National Horticulture Mission became Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture. Swadhar Greh became Shakti Sadan. Working Women Hostel Scheme became Sakhi Niwas. National Creche Scheme became Palna. National Action Plan for Senior Citizens became Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana. SAMPADA became Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana. Ayush Health and Wellness Centres became Ayushman Arogya Mandirs. Multi-sectoral Development Programme became Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Ko Kaam Karyakram became PM VIKAS. National Programme for Youth and Adolescent Development was merged into Rashtriya Yuva Sashaktikaran Karyakram. National Young Leaders Programme was merged into Rashtriya Yuva Sashaktikaran Karyakram. Mid-Day Meal Scheme became PM POSHAN. National Food Security Mission became National Food Security and Nutrition Mission. Good Samaritan Scheme became Rah-Veer Scheme. Anganwadi Services and POSHAN Abhiyaan were merged into Saksham Anganwadi and POSHAN 2.0. Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana was absorbed into PM-AJAY. Nai Roshni was absorbed into PM VIKAS. Self-Employment Scheme for Rehabilitation of Manual Scavengers was absorbed into NAMASTE. National Programme for Healthcare of the Elderly’s tertiary component became Rashtriya Varishth Jan Swasthya Yojana. Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme was absorbed into PM Krishi Sinchayee Yojana. National Optical Fibre Network became BharatNet. National Skill Development Mission was relaunched under Skill India. Basic Savings Bank Deposit Accounts were repackaged and expanded as PM Jan Dhan Yojana. This government is basically that shitty manager who takes credit for everyone else’s work. Its greatest achievement was convincing 1.4 billion Indians that they are the problem, while the government is the one tirelessly working for them. @_amitbehere @pbhushan1 @_YogendraYadav @SkyYaldaHakim @waglenikhil @AltNews @zoo_bear @MahuaMoitra @mkvenu1 @abhisar_sharma @ravish_journo

Peaceful protest is a sacred and fundamental right. Every police officer and govt official blindly following orders to attack India’s innocent students should keep in mind: The Constitution is your master. Power is not permanent. Accountability will follow.

Please stay on the street !! Stay till the voice is heard for a deaf dispensation and the disgusting absurdity it’s making us accept by the day !! Please stay as the voice for this !
