So @ForeverSolar is refusing to move solar panels that were installed in a design I never approved on the front of my house that’s a horrible eyesore AND eastern facing. #solarpanels
All I want is the panels moved to a more appropriate place and the my new roof repaired from where the panels were installed incorrectly @ForeverSolar
So far my case has been escalated to a supervisor who takes 2 weeks to tell me that my contract reserved the right to install the panels apparently wherever they want to
@ForeverSolar ran a sunlight map trying to justify how the panels would still be producing despite facing east, which doesn’t make sense

Nothing makes me feel more like a neoliberal service worker than the semesterly teaching evaluations given by non-experts in teaching with no college degree that somehow factor into my promotion.

So the Dean/Chair/Provost asks you to sit on the Diversity/Equity taskforce (a thread).
You: What can you take off my plate to make this possible? Repeat if nec.
Right answer: a course release.
Wrong answer: anything that has to do with “expertise,” and “appreciation.”
Uuuugghhh this is what @TheStefanSmith and I have been talking about for a decade now.

Tonight in the borderlands, I sewed face masks for front line workers while listening to mariachi. Does this feel more productive than trying to book write? 💯
Really excited for Digital Black Atlantic to come out so I can teach it. Also, I’m in it ;)
The final manuscript for The Digital Black Atlantic, edited by @kbjosephs & me for the @dhdebates series has now been sent off to @UMinnPress! Thank you, series editors @mkgold & @laurenfklein for your support. And much love to our amazing authors. Check out this TOC 🔥
