I wanted less filing and mood boarding and more real-time thinking with media. With @k_kfchan I built a multiplayer spatial research interface we used in private. Now it’s open.

"We are the cows of the future... Just as cows can't understand the financial system that controls their lives today, we will not be able to understand the AI financial system that will control our lives in 10 or 20 years."

Harold Cohen in 1985: "...most computer graphic programs the artist has to draw something first before the computer will draw anything... This program is quite different. It's, it's an artificial intelligence..."

The valuable part of architecture was never production. It was turning ambiguous human conflict into technical commitments. AI just makes that harder to avoid.
In startups, commitment often precedes the rules.
Not as an exception to the system, but as its native condition.
The organisation is still recursively defining itself: roles stabilise through action, authority emerges through use, ownership is clarified after collision, and process appears only once repeated ambiguity becomes too expensive.
The anxiety is not irrational.
It is the felt experience of entering a system before its interfaces have hardened.
The question is not whether the rules exist yet.
It is whether the system can metabolise ambiguity without turning it into coercion.

Nvim 0.13 gained the TextPutPost event (counterpart to TextYankPost). It triggers on "put" operations (p, :put, etc).
Call vim.hl.hl_op() to highlight "yank" & "put" actions:
autocmd TextPutPost,TextYankPost * silent! lua vim.hl.hl_op {higroup='Visual', timeout=300}

"If you want everything to be familiar, you will never learn anything new, because it can't be significantly different from what you already know."
Also, nobody cares how hard you work.
