New and weird, first time near-atomic-scale observation and characterisation of grain boundaries in layered 2D polymer. When square structure forms triangles, pentagons and more. Poster at @chem2DmatConf. #2dmaterials #COF #2dpolymer #CHEMD2MAT #chem2dmat

ALT Great collaboration with @ThomasHeine14, @XinliangF and Ute Kaiser group. This poster for #CHEM2DMAT conference shows first time near-atomic-scale observation of weird chemistry happening at #COF crystal grain boundaries, where due to boundary reconstruction, regular square COF can form 3, 5, 6 and 7-membered rings, which are clearly seen by AC-HRTEM and confirmed by our theoretical calculations.
