Did he lie tho?
π¨π¨| REMINDER: Jamie Carragher's comments about Aston Villa and their supporters, which have now led to the club announcing legal action against him. π£βοΈ
Speaking about Unai Emery potentially managing Manchester United, Carragher said:
βAston Villa will πππππ be Manchester United.β
βThere is a chain in football, whether you like it or not.β
βSo shut the fuck up, Villa fans. Honest to God, Aston Villa will never be Man United.β
Arteta on the unsuccessful Dowman appeal: "Very disappointed, especially with the reckless tackle he received. His reaction is minimal related to the action. We put every argument on the table. It could have been really bad. We are lucky he has not had a broken foot."
Arsenal really do fry everyoneβs brains
Weβre now at a point where, because itβs Arsenal, a scissor tackle at pace, almost trapping a standing leg, is a βgood challengeβ but a tiny reaction with zero force is βviolent conductβ
Think for a second. Are you all fucking retarded?

Christ. Carragher said something that made me like him. Never thought it would happen

This is really poor by @FA. The governing body is supposed to protect players. It should be disputing this regulatory commission verdict by members drawn from the FA judicial panel. Max Dowman could have suffered a bad injury to his standing leg from a dangerous challenge which went unpunished. Arsenal 16-year-old shouldnβt have reacted but his frustration was understandable. Some other players might have rolled around and ensured a bad challenge was punished. Dowman didnβt. He doesnβt stay down. The FA should have shown some understanding towards Dowman. Instead, it has suspended him for three games. FA priorities all wrong: tolerating a poor challenge and some weak refereeing but punishing a kid who objected to a bad challenge that could have dealt him a serious injury. Protect players. #AFC
Looool so youβre telling me on the final day of 1989 Arsenal had to go win at a ground they hadnβt won at in 13 years and also win by 2 clear goals to win the league only to clinch it in the last kick of the season?? π
Thatβs genuinely insane, imagine being around for that π

Lewandowski wasn't robbed in 2020. France Football cancelled the Ballon d'Or because of COVID before the Champions League knockouts, and that decision was understandable. The real robbery was 2021.
Messi won largely on the strength of the Copa AmΓ©rica, yet Alexis SΓ‘nchez won the same tournament and its best-player award in 2016 without even making the Ballon d'Or top 30. Lewandowski was far superior at club level in 2021.
The Ballon d'Or's biggest problem is inconsistency, and somehow that inconsistency always seems to favour Messi.

How do you have 8 Ballon d'Ors, but when the world is asked to vote on the single most impressive, dominant, and undisputed individual win ever, they pick the guy who has 5? This is what you get when half of your awards are heavily disputed as charity handouts from FIFA.
Siuu.

I donβt blame Dowman AT ALL for crashing out. This is the first time Iβm seeing this. He could have broke his leg! This ainβt a βhe needs to learn from thisβ situation. Whether youβre 16 or 28, that crash out is more than justified.
Nah weβve suffered long enough we deserve a clinical striker again man itβs what weβre used to at Arsenal
Never thought Iβd agree with Nasri on anything lool
π¨π£ Samir Nasri and Medhi Benatia DESTROYED Messi for his 5th place finish in the Ballon dβOr.
π£οΈ Nasri: βThereβs no world that Messi makes the top 10, I donβt care if he won the World Cup four years ago.β
π£οΈ Benatia: βThey put him fifth for three weeks! And he's been NINE MONTHS IN MIAMI!β
