This combination of nRF5340 (dual Cortex-M33) and nRF7002 is quite powerful and there is a plug-and-play experience with @EdgeImpulse. Now you can select Thingy:53 + nRF7002eb option directly in @EdgeImpulse deployment and collect data remotely! docs.edgeimpulse.com/docs/de…
Introducing #nRF7002 Expansion Board, a plug-in board for adding low-power #WiFi6 capabilities to #Thingy53! It connects with a PCB edge connector to Thingy:53’s expansion slot and uses its #nRF5340 SoC as a host device for #nRF7002 #WiFi Companion IC. hubs.li/Q02bsZjh0 👇

I'm so happy to announce that #NLnet decided to fund the development of an open hardware power profiler + battery simulation device I proposed, called JellyfishOPP. More info (and future updates) about the device available here: hyperglitch.com/articles/jel…

Memory is expensive.
"At the tiny edge, when you build products you are constrained by cost; you cannot go wild,” he said “There is a nominal price point, and it’s between 1 and 3 bucks… and part of the cost is captured by the non-volatile memory in the microcontroller.” rb.gy/gt9kt

Almost all founders learn brutal lessons during the first year, but some learn them much more quickly. Obviously those founders are more likely to succeed. So it could be a useful heuristic to ask, say 6 to 12 months in, "Have we learned our brutal lesson yet?"

Thingy:53 is a great example of a development device that can be used to validate PoC. When I worked on this I really liked how @NordicTweets did a case for it! Also @EdgeImpulse works out of the box for a superb user experience 🦾
Based on a @NordicTweets Thingy:53, this proof of concept device uses an Edge Impulse keyword spotting model to allow employees to report an accident in the workplace: bit.ly/3HqHuwG

Running this stuff on embedded seems like a sci-fi movie! 👾

Especially true for this moment in time... 🔩
There's a startup in the current YC batch whose founder's last startup was a hardware company. His cheeriness at only having to do software this time is palpable. He seems like someone starting to play a game on easy mode.
