Wrote a blog post on "Understanding Long Tasks data in Real User Monitoring" Hope it opens up new opportunities in web performance monitoring.

As a long-time CS Pro gamer, I couldn't resist putting this to the test.
Meet CSJevBot - a small experiment to see if a decision model can beat a tuned CS zBot.
The browser game is a simulation of the duel, not real CS. See if you can beat Jev 📷csgojev.vercel.app/
Jev doesn't aim or move. The engine handles physics, state machine decides which moves are legal, and Jev only picks the next one.
The runs are against the stock zBot inside CS 1.6 game. Jev seems to get an upper edge - github.com/vigneshshanmugam/…
Observability tools tell you what went wrong. They rarely help you fix it.
During an incident, Engineers bounce between Kibana, Slack, and the terminal/IDE often. Every tool switch, the assistant stays behind in the previous surface, and the investigation restarts from scratch🧵
Elastic Ramen ( CLI harness for SRE investigation and remediation) bridges that gap. Same conversation, same Elastic context layer, now in the terminal where the fix actually lives.

🔥 The newest web compression API announced by @patmeenan at #PerfNow
It could be up to 95% more efficient than existing gzip/brotli methods. All leading browsers agree on the spec => it will be shipped soon, and it's super exciting.

What I have been working on lately - Elastic Synthetics monitoring.
You can write End-to-end synthetic suites in JS and run them on multiple pop's to understand the website performance. #synthetics #webperf #playwright

Agree 💯, Copilot helps with rapid prototyping when your mind is empty and you are staring at your IDE. But damm the effort you put in to debugging because of the buggy code it produces 😅

Year 2015 coming back to my memories reading this blogpost - blog.cloudflare.com/better-m…
We were running similar architecture for almost 3-4 years at @ZalandoTech - mosaic9.org/ with lots of other goodies like caching, Observability, backoffs, pooling etc.
Check out the blogpost we wrote on this architecture around 2016

We’ve built some unusual new features for Elastic Synthetics 8.4.0, now we’re finally talking about them: youtu.be/lG4OcV314_k . Watch me and @justin_kambic discuss

.@v8js surprised me again today! I've received a casual PR to one of my modules. The pattern I have been using to instantiate new objects in JS could be drastically improved. new.target is a thing and it's incredibly fast.

Great post!
It's not about a single metric when it comes to Web performance and hope more devs moves towards RUM data for measuring user experience and still rely on lab data for quick reactive check.

⚡ New post! (sorry it's been a while):
"My Challenge to the Web Performance Community"
In this post I talk about one of the biggest threats I see to progress in the web performance space, and what I think we (as an industry) can do to address it.

I think the thing that confuses people the MOST about Core Web Vitals is:
When their lab data tells them things are good, but their field data says they have a problem… 🤔
So I wrote a post to help explain why this can happen and what to do about it: web.dev/lab-and-field-data-d…
Super excited about what @____lighthouse team is working on to bring the web performance metrics beyond the initial navigation.
This is really amazing as it closes the gap between RUM and field data. #webperf
