Ever wanted to keep track of when the latest episode of your favourite anime drops, but aren't able to check your favourite streaming site again and again? So did I, so I built Tsuchi, an Automated anime episode release tracker and instant email alert system built with Next.js 15, Better Auth, WebGL shaders, Express, PostgreSQL, Upstash Redis, and BullMQ. The way it works is that every hour a cron job fires that adds a syncjob to the worker The worker then fetches the currently airing anime and thier data, and then checks whether any new episode has been released. If yes, then it fires off the notification email sender. The notification email sender adds all the users' data to a queue and from that a worker processes their data, and sends them an email notifying of the new anime release. I've realised that I definetely need to improve my devops knowledge working on this. Make sure to check it out and drop a star on the github repo too. (Ignore the npc ahh domain, I'm too broke to get a better one rn🥀)
