New on master: the built-in Esplora server can look up a confirmed output by its block position (the short channel ID Lightning uses), even after it's spent, with no extra index. The Lightning docs show how an app can use it to check channel announcements.

LDK Node can now start against rbitcoin on a fresh regtest chain. Off mainnet, Esplora /fee-estimates returns an empty map instead of a 503, so clients apply their own fallback. Mainnet is unchanged. Reported by @_tnull, who wants rbitcoin in LDK Node's integration tests.

Introducing LexeConnect: a new protocol to connect a Lexe wallet to your app in one tap.
Your app requests the scopes it needs. The user taps Approve in Lexe. Your app receives a scoped, revocable credential and can now receive, pay, or read from the user's wallet. Full video 👇

🤫 First up, a Silent Payments fix. Currently, a 3rd party could alter a P2PKH scriptSig so the wallet extracted the wrong pubkey while the spend stayed consensus-valid. Not good. Loupe reported it and @theStack fixed it. No SP implementations were harmed. github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/p…

A second opinion:
✅ Another model double-checks every finding
✅ It returns "inconclusive" 30.2% of the time
✅ 88% of "dismissed" findings weren’t refuted but rather not established
✅ 3,671 findings were verified more than once and only 105 got a conflicting verdict

Meet Mistral Large 4, aka Le Chonk.
• 1T parameters, natively multimodal. 49B active.
It is the best open weights model from US or Europe on aggregated benchmarks.
• State-of-the-art on critical workloads, including cyber defense, manufacturing and finance and it surpasses closed frontier models on visual grounding.
• Forged in Europe end-to-end and is deployable from Europe via our own Mistral Cloud infrastructure.
• Available to all via API today. Working with cybersecurity partners privately.
Open weights release end of October.

LDK 0.1.13, 0.2.7, and 0.3-rc3 are now available, with fixes for several security vulnerabilities, including fund theft.
If you run LDK in production with untrusted channel counterparties, we recommend upgrading today. If you’re testing 0.3, update to rc3.
