I like to hope that one day my work on accessible built environments for Neurodiverse peeps will mean that buildings can be backup that supports the human to do a thing.... like a superhero sidekick that takes care of the side action so the hero can be a more effective badass.
Having had a little time to think about what has been happening in the Qualitative research space this week...
It seems to me that non researchers might find it helpful to understand some contextualising factors re: ethics permissions
If you don't see those green flags
For example
If you just see a researcher make a social media post about
- join my cool trial -
Or
- tell me what you would want in this project -
Without all those green flags included in the same post or linked in an obvious / clear way
One of the most effective things my friendship posse has done during covid years (we all have less in the tank) is for people who have skills in certain areas to assist others to outsource that skill set if it is a gap, rather than attempting to meet that need themselves.

And at this current moment in time... I do feel like it is important to recognise that many of us are less able to be engaging with emotional labour
... but the idea of losing friendships due to everyone just being so drained is incredibly sad
