Life starts at 40 is a hypocritical concept.
Every time I want to learn something about Buddhism, I call Palga Rinpoche.
This time, I went to him.
A week in Ladakh. His monastery. A sacred cave hidden in the mountains, with no one around for kilometres.
We spoke about:
- What Buddhism says about finding your path
- Why he believes life starts at 40
- Maya, karma and how much of life is in your hands
- Why he says UAPs are drawn to Ladakh
- What happens to your mind inside the conch shell cave
Recorded in English, in the mountains, so it reaches the world.

India’s billionaires on Odd Days : “Come Back to India”
India’s billionaires on Even Days : “Please Pray for Us”
That’s why I say, people in India lack thought leadership
More so billionaires and founders of top companies
Yes, patriotism is important but sir people have families and EMIs to pay 🙏
And how rapidly you turned from “Come back, build India” to “the situation is so grim, what is our future” , how will people have faith in your directions 🙏
You are the founder of India’s top software company Zoho
My sincere request to Shri Sridhar Vembu ji is to guide us better… and let his appeal meet his own warning on AI costs and job uncertainty to create a more holistic advise that the youth of this country can follow..
More so the ones dreaming to pursue a career in software industry 🙏🙏

The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty

There comes a day in every life, often far too young, when the desire to forge new memories fades behind the comfort of revisiting old ones
this is a kind of death, and you must fight against it with everything you have

A very wise and rich person once told me that
“The most hateable part of a billionaire is the sudden realisation that hundreds are starving and millions are being denied the opportunity to excel the moment they have a product to sell”
Dear Prime Minister Ambani,
Please accept my humble apologies for not realizing that you are the real boss of India.
Naturally, you would prefer to maintain your monopolistic exploitation of the great people of India, but would you nonetheless consider allowing Starlink to compete?
There are many areas of India, as there are in all countries, with no Internet access, which denies children the opportunity for education and for small businesses the opportunity to sell their goods to a global market. Starlink would change their lives for the better.
Thank you 🙏

After many years in top machine learning organizations, with friends at frontier labs, I still consider Tesla’s ML engineers the best—the only ones I would trust with my life.
Unsatisfied with theory, they scrutinize every detail until it is proven in reality. They demand real-world miles, not charts. This culture exists nowhere else.
This week marks another anniversary at Tesla. I am honored to work with you all for many years to come.

The way Steve taught us to care about every detail, every experience, every person, still guides our work today. Forever grateful.

We humans have about 3.2 billion DNA letters in our genome. By contrast, this South American lungfish has over 91 billion.
That doesn't automatically mean it is more biologically complex, or that its DNA codes for a greater variety of proteins.
Both humans & this lungfish have around 20,000 protein-coding genes. So the extra DNA the fish carries is either repetitive, regulatory, or ancient.
DNA is not just about genetic instructions for making proteins; it is also a repository of information.
Ancient events & the evolution of a species shape its DNA sequence.
Some species have less repetitive DNA, while others have more, owing to distinct evolutionary events.
A species of lungfish found in South America has claimed the title of the animal with the biggest genome sequenced so far.
The DNA of Lepidosiren paradoxa comprises a staggering 91 billion chemical letters or “bases,” 30 times as many as the human genome, researchers reported in 2024.
However, those 91 billion bases of DNA only contain about the same number of genes that humans have—roughly 20,000—with the rest consisting of noncoding, perhaps even “junk” DNA.
By comparing this genome with those of other lungfishes, the researchers determined that L. paradoxa adds the equivalent of a human genome to its DNA every 10 million years.

Gratitude changes the way we see life. It helps us notice what is going right, appreciate what we have and find something positive even in difficult days. A grateful mind often carries a lighter heart.

Gandhi was human. That is still the strangest thing about him. A frail man, with ordinary human failings, made the mighty of his time look much smaller. The discomfort is not the failings. It is that the failings fail to shrink him.

Two-headed snakes usually have two independent brains. A shared body, some shared organs, but two eyes & two brains.
In many cases, the two brains may give contradictory commands. One may signal to eat more, while the other signals to stay away from prey.
They often compete over food. When one eats too hastily, the other may even block its throat to cut down on the competition.
Coordination & movement become difficult for two-headed snakes when the two brains are at odds with one another.
In some cases, though, the two brains also learn to coordinate for better movement & strategy. When one brain senses that the other is feeding, it usually stops.
It's like two creatures packed into one body. Nature's miracle.
