EES implementation is such an actual joke, I had to queue to “pre-register” despite doing it last time, but am now in a queue with ppl who were told to skip the machine… I guess they just turn it off when the queue gets too big? Everyone seems they’ll miss their connections too.
if you google ドミノピザクーポン there is always one of those websites with the wiki-style navigation that has a big list you can try. i was always able to get 50% off pizzas at a minimum, if not the whole order...
It wouldn't surprise me if they change the rules further, or they implement something like this. Did everyone forget early COVID in 2020 when PR were just totally banned from re-entry for half the year while citizens/特別永住者 didn't even need a pre-departure test?
I've always said PR in Japan is just a status of residence that doesn't expire - it's not a special status like LPR in the US. Even in 2019 the government polled support for revoking it when holders no longer met the requirements (and 74.8% were in favor!) survey.gov-online.go.jp/r01/…

Many procedures can be done digitally… isn’t the money for a facility in Central Tokyo better spent on further digitization + digital app. support at city/ward offices for /all/ foreign residents? HSP more likely to be able to afford a gyoseishoshi and not need to go anyway lol
