Let's talk about a Philippine celebrity who got bashed a lot but still became more popular.
For me, it's Kim Chiu. Her famous line "Bawal lumabas" went super viral all over the Philippines (and maybe even outside the country). People talked about it because of her confusing statement about classroom rules. The bashing got so bad that she almost left showbiz and wanted to live abroad.
But she didn' t give up. Her "Bawal Lumabas" line even became an album and it sold out.
Until now, she’s still one of the A-listers of ABS-CBN. She has had hit shows like Linlang and The Alibi, and she has a new movie this December called A Perfect Marriage.
