Israeli TV brings together a host of different candidates "from across the political spectrum" and asks them if they support the establishment of a Palestinian state.
They uniformly declare "No!"
"We'll fight it tooth and nail! … It's against God!"
By Israeli standards, Netanyahu is a moderate who is not genocidal enough.

To claim that nobody in Israel cared or talked about the allegations that Netanyahu was warned in the weeks before October 7 or that this is not an issue in the elections is false. Period

great article from the godfather of legal tech
In January 2017, in @atlblog, I made a bold prediction: "By 2027 the legal industry will produce many billionaires, but few, if any, will be practicing attorneys." Nearly 10 years later, I'm back on Above the Law to see how it aged.
Legal tech has now minted 16 unicorns. So … I like my odds. A LOT.
Next up: tracking down the legal tech founders I profiled back then. One had a nearly billion-dollar exit, another runs legal for OpenAI, and at least one probably became a sommelier, which is also relevant to us lawyers.

It’s not funny at all. Don’t think it even should be in the comedy category. Just tries to be edgy all the time. Couldn’t finish it tbh.

When the criminal is the smartest man in the room. He left them with nothing.
Mark Dencklau, the president of the Portland Gypsy Joker Outlaw Motorcycle Club, was brought in by detectives after the body of former club member Robert "Bagger Bob" Huggins was found tortured and beaten to death in a Washington field.
Huggins had previously been kicked "out bad" from the club for stealing money to fuel a heroin addiction. In retaliation, Huggins broke into Dencklau’s home, tied up his girlfriend, and stole cash and guns.
Detectives sat Dencklau down hoping to get him to admit to the home invasion to establish revenge as the clear motive for Huggins’ brutal kidnapping and murder. Instead, Dencklau stonewalled them at every turn:
• He refused to name names or cooperate, standing firmly on an anti-"rat" code.
• When pressed on the home invasion, he deflected entirely, claiming his girlfriend staged the robbery herself to sell items and cover her own tracks.
• He constantly questioned why a supposed "victim" was in handcuffs, denying detectives the narrative they needed to tie him directly to Huggins' killing.
Mark was one step ahead of the detectives line of questioning from beginning to end. He remained calm, his tone and posture never changed, and he only lead them down the paths he wanted them to go.
The detectives walked away empty-handed, but Dencklau’s victory in the interrogation box wasn't enough. Federal prosecutors bypassed state murder charges and built a massive RICO conspiracy case using wiretapped jail calls and cooperating witnesses. Dencklau was ultimately convicted of murder in aid of racketeering and sentenced to life in federal prison without parole.
In the end he still went down, but it was due to other members of his group dragging him with them. If this interrogation was the only path the prosecution had, there is a strong chance Mark would be a free man walking among us right now.
