Scare Bears politically driven scorching debut E.P. Incredibly it's musically diverse enough across its four tracks to satisfy any punk palate; though lyrically it cuts like a knife to separate the allies from the boys!

The historic Seven Stars pub on Thomas Lane became, in 1787 the residence of abolitionist Thomas Clarkson who (with the pub landlord), began interviewing local sailors and merchants involved in the slave trade and gathering their tales of inhumane and barbaric treatments.

The War Against Women Continues:
Why are the Taliban and White, Christian Nationalists like Pete Hegseth so afraid, terrified of women? Is it the competition they're afraid of? Seems kind of weak. Do they need more testosterone?
Pete Hegseth reposts video that says women shouldn’t be allowed to vote:
Sat 9 Aug 2025 17.47 BST
The US defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, recently shared a video in which several pastors say women should no longer be allowed to vote.
Hegseth reposted a CNN segmenton X on Thursday that focuses on pastor Doug Wilson, a Christian nationalist who co-founded the Idaho-based Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC), In the segment, he raises the idea of women not voting.
“I would like to see this nation being a Christian nation, and I would like this world to be a Christian world,” Wilson said.
Another pastor interviewed by CNN for its segment, Toby Sumpter, said: “In my ideal society, we would vote as households. I would ordinarily be the one to cast the vote, but I would cast the vote having discussed it with my household.”
A congregant interviewed for the segment remarked that she considers her husband as the head their household, and added: “I do submit to him.”
Hegseth reposted the nearly seven-minute report with the caption: “All of Christ for All of Life.”
A statement from Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell on Saturday said Hegseth “is a proud member of a church affiliated with” the CREC.
“The secretary very much appreciates many of Mr Wilson’s writings and teachings.”

"Public ownership of water industry could save £22billion, MPs are told."
Oh look, you were lied to, nationalising the water industry isn't going to cost you billions, it could in fact save you £22 billion.
Who'd have guessed it.

I had DPD pick up a gaming pc from mine today. When I closed my door it sounded like the courier was dragging it down the stairs. As he left the building I looked out the window to see him flipping the box! This is a £3000 PC. @dpduk_ 🤬🤬

Replying to @thameswater
@thameswater recently told me that due to “fiscal constraints”, they can’t afford to fix all of the illegal outfalls on the River Roding by 2030 (already a more than fair deadline in the circumstances I feel).
This single one million pound payment to their finance chief would, alone, be enough to stop a billion litres of raw sewage a year entering the river in Ilford. Which other companies do we allow to commit serious crimes because they’ve taken money that should have been used to ensure their company complies with the law & given it to their execs instead? How long until the government says “no more” to these chancers & puts Thames Water out of its misery?

No matter who wins the continuing front page PR battle as to who is the most discriminated against group on the planet, globally "Misogyny-driven lethal violence against women and girls results in a significantly higher absolute number of annual deaths than racism, antisemitism, homophobia, or ableism". The lethal War Against Women continues. The clearly intentional refusal to focus on that detail continues.
Claims that it's mainly in other countries with other religions is just another example of us, men, globally letting ourselves off the hook. The evidence is hidden in plain sight. The in our faces fact conveniently never makes it to the front page.
Fact check or just shrug and walk on by. Ask in your browser, "Is it true that misogyny results in a significantly higher absolute number of annual deaths than racism, antisemitism, homophobia, or ableism?" It's easy to do and then check on how that is reflected in the media (overwhelmingly owned by men).
And who is responsible for this deadly war against The Female? Clearly: The Male.
But we guys don't have to worry. We have a get-out. Collective responsibility is vehemently rejected, globally. So we don't have to worry. We can continue with, "None of us individually can be blamed, and "I don't personally behave like that". Don't worry, those self-serving mantras will never die.
On the other hand we could demand those figures take their rightful place on the daily front pages and news-casts and social media outlets and as a result, rightly, in all our minds.

.@andyburnham like to share the reality of Waltham Forrest, the floating bus stops are not safe or accessible for blind people. They need to be removed & for the bus to be able to pull up to the pavement so everyone can board without crossing a cycle lane.
