Our 85 year old mum has been in hospital for over three weeks following a fall. She’s physically fit for discharge now other than having caught covid in hospital. Why are people being kept in hospital when there is covid in the community?@CareQualityComm
She has been told she must stay in for a further 10 days as the care home she is going to to convalesce won’t accept her. That’s 10 days in hospital without visitors for a physically fit woman other than having covid which so many people have in the community.
Surely this is part of the problem why there are so few hospital beds available. We just want to get her out of hospital and be able to visit her so that her mental health doesn’t deteriorate. @BBCNews #nhs #healthcare #socialcare @wesstreeting #healthsecretary #ThérèseCoffey
