This is Editable — launching in preview today
Soon it'll be easier to build custom apps on top of Editable.
Add custom code through defined interfaces, while still keeping your copy in sync with upstream Editable.
There might still be conflicts to resolve, but they'll be less likely.
Don't like AI-generated content on a website. But turns out "translating" an existing page to other languages is a great use case for AI.
Soon every Editable.website will have their own MCP server for such tasks. And afterwards you can cleanup/fix bad text by hand easily.
Launched letsken.com in 2021. Didn't manage to get it off the ground, but still proud of the concept and implementation.
Finally got to downscale it — aka host forever™.
Before: Postgres+S3+ImgX
Now: SQLite+asset files
10x faster. Costs down from 50€/m to 0€. 🎉

You may have already heard, but the core SQLite team is working on Vec1 — native vector search (ANN) in SQLite.
It supports Euclidean (L2) and cosine distances, and uses SIMD for fast vector operations.
Vec1 is already feature-complete. The only things left are improving test coverage and making some optimizations.

Oh boy! This is already looking promising...
Thanks to CSS Custom Highlights syntax highlighting can be on during editing, without messing with Svedit's selection mapping.
This weekend: Will try to sprinkle some TWINKLEPLOP into editable.website. 😁

“Why not build editable.website on a more popular framework?” I get asked this a lot.
Because for building websites, Svelte is simply the best framework. And my opinion hasn't changed.
Async Svelte is going to be the best thing since sliced bread.
SvelteKit 3 is out!
Better environment variable handling, better error messages and sensible breaking changes with an easy upgrade thanks to our migration script which handles many things automatically and gives you(r agent) a nice Todo list for the rest

Svedit 0.15.0 is out!

Been doing a lot of content editing on Editable sites over the past few days. At this point, I’m pressing Cmd + E from muscle memory on other websites I visit, hoping they’ll become fully editable. 😄
May be soon time for another attempt to bring syntax highlighted codeblocks to editable.website.
Memory prices are going up.
An Editable website runs perfectly on just 256MB RAM.
And @flydotio waives invoices under $5, so you can essentially host your Editable website for free.

Just tried Codex Computer Use to make edits on an editable.website and it works surprisingly well.
I told it to "enable edit mode and go find grammar and spelling mistakes on the current page. Highlight first error and suggest what you'd like to change."
