Dr. Barbara Burtness presenting #ASCO26 abstract #6008 on subcutaneous amivantamab for HPV-unrelated recurrent/metastatic head & neck squamous cell cancer after immunotherapy + platinum chemo.
In 102 patients, tumors shrank in most, with a 47% response rate. Responses happened fast (~6.6 weeks), lasted a median 7.2 months, and median time before the cancer worsened was 6.8 months. Side effects were mostly expected EGFR/MET-related skin/nail/mouth issues; infusion/administration reactions were 13% (mild); and 6% stopped treatment due to side effects.
