New paper on the locomotor biomechanics of Postosuchus. They could not conclude if it was bipedal or quadrupedal, digitigrade or plantigrade. Its pelvic muscles were 3x more massive than a similar-sized crocodile’s, but its gracile tail had a smaller caudofemoralis.

Really wish people would stop giving thick African Elephant skin/trunk wrinkles to prehistoric elephants. It’s a highly derived semi-arid adaptation that is unique to Loxodonta africana, an American Mastodon would not have had that. African Forest Elephants don’t even have it!
