Theory: the infected family living miles away from the lab didn’t get infected by some airborne virus. One of them literally worked for Umbrella. I think the husband was working in the city, got infected or bitten somehow, came back home, and then infected the dog and his wife. The wife then managed to run away before fully transforming, which is why Bryan ran into her on his way to racoon city. she also starts mutating right around the time Bryan hits her with his car. If that’s what happened, Bryan didn’t just randomly hit a zombie woman, he accidentally drove straight into the aftermath of an Umbrella employee bringing the infection home. #ResidentEvilㅤ
